Review Thai Bistro - Wildwood

First the positive. The restaurant was clean and the people working were very nice. I assume it was the owners running it. There was an older woman rolling the spring rolls and I can only assume it was one of their mothers. She reminded me of my mom. Also there was only 1 other person in the restaurant. It felt weird with the place being complete silent with only me in there. I ordered Tom Yum soup and the papaya salad. I knew I was in for trouble when the soup came out and the broth was completely clear — like water. The soup was virtually tasteless. There was no fish sauce, no galanga, and most importantly, no tamarind. This soup is is supposed to built around those key elements. The salad. It needed fish sauce as well. As it was, it was also bland with no umami. No acid but it was sweet. I wish I could give this place 2.5 stars. I was only passing through and I would try it again only because they were so nice. Maybe they had a bad day in the kitchen.

Just awful. Very sad too because this used to be the best Thai food I've ever had. It is under new ownership and is nothing like the previous owners. The food is bland and they have a very young child working the phones and bringing water to tables, couldn't be over 10. I will forever miss the original Thai bistro.

Food was average. Service was atrocious. Girl no more than ten years old was our “waitress.” We were one of two parties in the restaurant and waited 40 minutes to order. While eating, numerous parties came to get carry out orders - none of which were ready on time or were made wrong. By the end of our meal we were the only ones in the restaurant - no one came to check on us or even fill our waters that had been empty for nearly an hour. Will not be back. I understand a night of being short staffed - but there was not a single apology or attempt to make up for the terrible experience.

It makes us very sad to say but now under new ownership and not nearly the same food. We lived in Thailand and know what authentic is and it's not this. We now drive way down to Thai Rice Bistro off Manchester Rd in Ballwin, but it is expensive with small portions. 😭

We have enjoyed this Thai restaurant with a few Lao options. Food tends to be mild so if you like spicy be sure to ask. Drunken noodles is a favorite. The coconut curries are rich and good. The laab meat salad was tasty and mild by default. The tom yum noodle soup is huge and was fine, too. It is a small restaurant, and worth a visit if you are nearby. The young lady that always seems to be working the front of the house as a server does a good job and is nice and helpful.

We enjoyed the atmosphere, and the service was great. The owner was interested in comments I made, and is working hard to offer a varied menu.

The food was great. The waitress seem new and little unsure of her self, but she did great. We started with Sweet and Sour Tofu, and Shumai. My wife had Tom Yum Goong soup. My daughter had Phad Thai with pork. And I had Sriracha fried rice with pork.

Delightful - just recently changed owners and proud to say it is still amazing! Pad Thai was delicious, can’t wait to come back! Hope all of Joe’s customers come to support them

If u have never been this is differently a place to check off ur bucket list.. staff is amazing and chef is off the chain no one can top it.. I’m hiring him as my personal chef no joke... again tonight was amazing and I will definitely b back �

Thai Bistro is one of our favorite restaurants as a family. The quality of the food is outstanding, from the freshness for the ingredients to the flavor and presentation of the dish. Joe always pairs us with the perfect appetizers and meals. When we are making a dining decision, the Bistro is always at the top of our list!

My fiancée has several food allergies and the chef was kind enough to come out and talk with us for a little bit on some of the best options for dishes that she can have. I really appreciated the fact that he did this especially because it's hard for me and my future wife to find a good restaurant to eat at with her allergies let alone a Thai restaurant. The food that came out was impeccable and as explained above the staff is very considerate to your needs. Definitely will be back next time we make a trip to Wildewood!

Great little Restraunt with fresh and very tasty dishes..Just traveling in the area and found this gem, if your wanting something delicious this is your place...

This place has the most incredible food! It might seem somewhat expensive, but when you taste it you'll think you just got the best deal of your life! TRY IT!!!!

Delicious!!!! Service and food are the best! We had the Crab butterfly, Phad Ginger and Phad cashew both with shrimp.

First time we'll be back! Veggie Spring Roll was perfect and the Curry Noodle Bowl and Drunken Noodles were amazing! Thank you Gabby, excellent service with a busy full dining room on a Friday night. See you soon!

Really fresh veggies & good cuts of meat. The rice noodles were amazingly cooked and flavors were tasty.
