Review Sunny Street Cafe - Wildwood - Wildwood

The service was ok, I had the avocado toast Benedict. I was a little iffy about ordering avocados in the middle of America because produce here isn’t usually great and they came out brown like they were old. The egg whites weren’t done so I didn’t eat them and they took it off of my bill. I would take the avocados off of the menu and the restaurant would offer a better overall experience. The hollandaise looked delicious.

it’s worth the wait.. i would have rated a 5 directly resulting from the excellent prepared and great tasting breakfast meals we had..it’s been 45 mins and as i write.. we are still waiting for the chicken salad.

Good food, but slow service, inattentive staff. Waited to be seated, waited to order, waited for refills, waited to pay & at each point multiple staffers pass by & don’t even acknowledge your presence. I’ve never seen a breakfast place that’s this stingy with the coffee. You get 1 cup. Maybe a refill if you flag someone down & ask but most places they come around with a pot & top it off frequently. And honestly, I had the same experience multiple times here even before the pandemic lockdowns, so maybe I can’t complain. maybe it’s just a more relaxed setting where they leave you alone unless you specifically ask for something.

Delicious breakfast and excellent service!

My mom had breakfast and said it was great. I had a chicken salad sandwich that had no taste. My soda and my mom's orange juice was close to $5 that's too high. Wouldn't go back

I wish we lived a little closer to this place because it would be a part of my morning routine. So why not 5 stars? This is what I didn't like: Indoor seating area was freezing. Restrooms we're clean but old. Outdoor chairs were the metal armchairs which were not comfortable. Here is what they did right: They specialize in breakfast and lunch food so they cook it well. We we're seated quickly and server was friendly and attentive. Our food arrived quickly and correctly as ordered. The food tasted really good. I had the Johnnycake Benedict. It was a corncake pancake with avacado and poached eggs. I ordered with hashbrowns- which were very good-but I wish I would have had the side of fruit, just to have a sweet with the salty taste. Overall I was impressed. My husband had the Cornbeef Hash. He also said that he was pleased with the taste. Two other things that were noteworthy are the fact that they had flavored creamer for coffee and a wide variety of jellies for bread.

Restaurant was close to our hotel so decided to try it for breakfast. Had a party of 8 but was seated very quickly . Our waitress Elli was was attentive and friendly. Food came out quickly but was just ok. Pancakes as french toast were bland, but sister in law had a omelet that she said was delicious. Prices were very reasonable

While there is nothing special about the location, building or decor, the food is really good and the employees are friendly and helpful! I ordered the corned beef hash with eggs plate and it was excellent!

Sunday brunch with the family. Sat quickly, friendly service and tasty food. Nothing spectacular. Plating could be improved. Prices O.K.

Eggs were cooked well, biscuits were tough, pancakes fluffy, sausage and veggie toppings were covered I gravy so much they couldn't really be tasted.

The waiters today were terrible. My first visit was great although not busy. Today my food was awful and nobody cared about my doey pancakes. It was said to be my fault for telling them later

Matthew was our server and he was awesome! Ordered the quiche, served with crazy fresh fruit, delish. Also ordered a warm pineapple coconut muffin that tasted like a piña colada! Hubs ordered stuffed biscuits and gravy (are you serious!!?) and the kid was impressed with his dinosaur pancake! All around, our tummies and wallets were happy!

We wnt to sunny street cafe at 9am on may 29 and the owner michelle was not there we gook our 4 yr old grand daughter with us and it took forever to get out orders placed then exactly 50 minutes to recieve our food. Service was no good and we left no tip..if michelle would have been there it might have been better. It will be a long time before we return.

Terrible Experience. My husband and I visited this cafe on Sunday and were extremely disappointed. When we first sat down a manger followed the hostess to our table and corrected her on the way she placed the menu on the table and then made a sexist comment to my husband about the hostess' error. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash with my eggs medium. When our food arrived the portion of the Corned Beef Hash was smaller than the size of my eggs and was extremely crispy. My eggs were over easy, not medium as I requested. I thought the appearance and portion size of the Corned Beef Hash was normal, until the table next to me received their food and had the Corned Beef Hash. Their food was not crispy and I could see potatoes and onions from my table. Their portion was 2-3 times larger than the one on my plate. It's evident that I was served the bottom of the container that had probably been sitting under a hot lamp all morning. I filled out a customer survey online, even though at the cafe I was told that they did not have a survey option. A manager responded back to me thanking me for the feedback and offered me a free meal, but not an apology. Not offering an apologizing demonstrates to me that they are not taking responsibility for their mistake. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will not be revisiting this location or another ever again.

Average food, poor service. You easily notice the regulars get better service, I'm not a regular. Waitress actually admitted she forgot about us--twice! Won't go back, better breakfast food in the area anyway.

The crunchy french toast is the best I have ever tasted! Awesome service!

Never Again. Do not eat here! First we waited over 30 minutes for our food while others who came in after us were served before us. When we finally received our food the orders were all mixed up. The toast was so burnt I was shocked they had the gall to serve it to us. My pancakes were crispy, bacon was soggy and the eggs looked as if they had been sitting there all morning and were rubbery. My husband’s eggs Benedict was dry, the hollandaise
sauce was runny. When we presented the manager with our concerns regarding the less than appetizing food she argued with us. The only reason we stayed to eat was because we were so hungry. I'd rather eat at McDonald's than ever eat here again.

Clueless. Went to the Sunny Street Café in Wildwood, MO for the first time today and will never go back. Very confusing situation where upon entering the café, we were told it was a 10-25 minute wait (just before 10 am on Sunday, which would not be unexpected). Granted there were 6 of us, but there were a number of open tables that did not warrant a wait, including a large one that could accommodate our group. We asked about outside as all tables were open and they indicated we could sit there with no wait, which is what we said we would do. Well, after waiting 10 minutes longer, they decided to sit us inside at the big table which was open from the moment we came in. No big deal to this point, but from the time we sat down at the table until the time we were even acknowledged it was 20 more minutes (which I timed using my phone’s stopwatch). Not only did it take that long, but I had to ask the hostess if anyone even knew we were here.
We were finally greeted by a very nice waitress who started to take care of us. Since our family has dairy and gluten allergies, we asked if they could cook the food with oil or a spray as opposed to butter. Apparently, everything is cooked with butter, no exceptions and they have no separate pans for cooking eggs without butter.
To be honest, serves us right for not calling ahead and asking about the allergies. However, the people there have no clue about allergies and even how to respond to basic questions that every other breakfast restaurant we have been to in the St. Louis area always easily answers.
To me this appears to be a case of a business run by people who do not know how to run a business. Took forever to get seated, clueless hostess and servers not even realizing no one was waiting on us for 20 minutes until I said something, and even more clueless about allergies. Most new places know about allergies and I know they cannot always accommodate. As such, don’t waste your time there.

Awful!. When this restaurant was Rise and Dine the service was awful. I haven't eaten in the restaurant since it changed but today my husband and I ordered breakfast for carry out. The food was raw. He had biscuits and gravy and the sausage was totally raw, the scrambled eggs were not thoroughly cooked either. Just reinforces why we will never go there again.

Thought the food was good until I pulled a three-inch dark and curly from my omelete. Needless to say I was scared to ever return.

Can't Be Beat for Breakfast or Brunch. I can't overstate my pleasure with Rise & Dine. Typically only open breakfast and lunch hours (and Wednesday evenings last time I was there), but it's more than worth it to get up early.

I've never had the slightest dissatisfaction with anything I've ever ordered here: it has all been, to put it simply, delicious. The coconut-encrusted french toast, above all else. I could elaborate on other items, but it's safe to say, whatever you order, it's probably gonna be great.

Furthermore, I've never seen a more friendly or cheerful staff in my life. The service is so consistently wonderful and welcoming, the more pessimistic might wonder if it's a put-upon, but it all seems so genuine that even that is hard to believe. And even more importantly, it's all done fast and accurately, remarkable given how busy it always seems to be here (understandably.)

Rise & Dine has much more in common with Grandma's Iowa farm cooking than it does with any IHOP or similar pancake house. I couldn't recommend it more.
