Review Schellenger's Restaurant - Wildwood

Wow such a great place to eat. The food was top notch. Tty the clams casino and the crab chowder! By and large the best crab chowder I've ever had. Our server was excellent as well. May look a bit corny from the outside but it for sure is worth it. Look at the portion of chicken parm! I had the broiled seafood combo and it was really good.

This was my first time here, and I would definitely recommend this place. Besides the food ,service and atmosphere which was great The prices were very affordable. I will definitely return.

I have lived in wildwood over six years and always wondered what this place had to offer. I finally tired it out during restaurant week. It was a great idea to check this place out. They had a $40 option for restaurant week. That $40 option included one appetizer, soup or salad, entree and a dessert. The appetizers had I believe four total to choose from. The salad was just regular house salad. Entrees had maybe 5 different types. The dessert was either cheesecake or ice cream. I wish there was more to choose when it came to the desserts. But over all the options were decent for just $40. The portions for everything were bigger then I thought they would be. Biggest plates on the island as they advertise. The food came out quickly but they mixed up our order. Instead of shrimp it was chicken but it was quickly fixed. I order a house margarita and that was a bit gross. I enjoy a nice margarita on the rocks but this tasted like sour mix. I order twenty four piece spicy shrimp as the appetizer. Nothing about this was spicy. It tasted like it had some old bay seasoning on it. They also were a little hard to peel. The salad was just a regular house salad with way to my onions and one cherry tomato. For the entree I ordered salmon with rice. Overall that was very tasty. Great size portion for an entree. The decorations inside might be a little dated but it fits the theme of the place. The music was at the very level. Place itself was clean. I would go back again to try another entree. Everything on the menu was priced very reasonable.

My Son had the Chicken Alfredo and said it was the best he's ever had! I got the fried flounder platter and literally got 2 huge pieces of fish plus 2 sides! It was enough for 2 meals easily! Food was tremendous! My Girlfriend got the Broiled Seafood platter and again enough for 2 people but taste amazing! Highly recommend!

The best Calamari that I ever had in my entire life, the servers were extremely nice and friendly, the restaurant is beautifully decorated.

Food was ok, nothing special though. Very interesting interior— plenty of different “ocean themed” objects to look at while waiting for food.

Seated 10 adults promptly, everybodies food was fresh & tasty! Wait staff was attentive.

We had a large family party of 14 celebrating Father's day weekend on a Saturday night! We tried calling to make a reservation, but no one answered. So we walked-in and it was about a 20 minute wait for seating us. Service was excellent and the food was fresh and tasted good! We all enjoyed our meals and even the kids liked theirs too! Definitely a great place to eat at!

This restaurant was beautiful. The ambience was nice, the staff was super kind and attentive and the food of course was delicious. My whole family was very pleased with our orders. Nobody was disappointed and everyone wanted to go back as soon as possible. Please make time to visit this restaurant!

Fabulous experience for dinner! Our waiter was wonderful and accommodating. Some of the best seafood I have had in a very long time. The placemats are beautiful and they gave me a fresh one to take home as a souvenir.

Highly recommend it, This is my FAVORITE restaurant off the shore, I have been coming to this place for 3 consecutive years for dinner and lunch while I’m at the shore. food and staff never disappoint! Prices are affordable.

Food was excellent and portions are huge!!! Very expensive and they add the tip automatically.

Perfect. The food, the service everything was exactly what I needed.

Came for dinner. They are seriously swamped with patronage and don’t have enough staff. Our server was very nice. The food was good. About what you would expect for a seafood place. Good variety I think. And prices seemed reasonable. Pretty typical good experience, expect to spend a great deal of time here though due to lack of staff and over seating by management.

Went here this past weekend. Server was very nice and atmosphere was great. The seafood however, was the worst we ever had. My wife and I shared the jersey boil for 2 for $57 and I wouldn't have paid 57 cents to eat that again. The lobster tasted funny, nothing was cooked properly and even the drawn butter tasted like oil, not butter. The other person that we were with tried a shrimp from our boil and immediately spit it out. I don't know how this place could be in business 30+ years serving seafood like that but we will never be going back, that's for sure.
