Review Kelly's Family Diner - Wichita

Just had surgery so my Sis went in to get breakfast for me and it was not up to par. The bacon, eggs and wheat toast were good. I had ordered hash browns and what I got was slop covered in grease and onions🤮 I took two bites and all I could taste was grease. Not going back to Kelly’s for a while.

Other than Wichita Kansas on a boil water alert, this is a gem. Imagine a family restaurant, great food and the service some places here it’s exceptional. Lots of parking, and always know when the diner is good, lots of local patrons , tables are always busy. Oh yes , coffee is fresh and does not taste like it’s been in the pot for hours. Highly recommend eat here.

The service was pretty good. The food was delicious and arrived quickly.

1st time visit. Don't let the neighborhood scare you away. As I thought Oh no... what an i getting myself into. I had originally went for the cinnamon rolls that every one says is the best. I however looked over menu and changed my mind I ordered the Philly Cheese steak sandwich and Fries. The sandwich was exceptional loaded with meat just the right amount of peppers and onions. Waitress did enquire if I would like mushrooms also. Passed on that. The fries are fresh cut there. They were yummy, the size was a little small. My daughter had the chicken tenders.. they were the largest pieces I had ever seen. I tried one the batter is awesome. It fried up nice crispy and light. They were not greasy. She requested gravy for dipping. It was great gravy. Her meal also came with salad, dinner role and vege. She chose deep fried okra. I never did get a cinnamon roll, when we check out the didn't have any icing..SIGH.. It has that family restaurant vibe, the waitress says everything is made from scratch. It was a good choice. Now I'll have to try earlier in the day for cinnamon rolls.

We were visiting from out of state for a Sweet Adelines competition and stopped in for a late breakfast. I The food was great and the staff was polite and attentive. Plus the portions were big. We would definitely come back if I’m the area.

Went for the first time today and I have to say I will NEVER go back. Our waitress, who I think was Kelly was extremely rude. We ordered our food and our salad and soup came out. My husband asked for extra ranch and the waitress gave a big sigh like his request was putting her out. We then wait almost an hour for our meal. Chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes were the worst I have had. Took 2 bites and that was enough. My son had grilled fish which was overcooked and he did not eat it. While we were waiting on our food I watched our same waitress behind the counter getting food for other customers., she knocked a sausage patty off of the plate into a bin with creamer, picked up the sausage patty with her hand put it back on the plate and then went and served it. We were not offered any discount for this horrible service or food. I will be contacting the health department about this as well.

The food was excellent! Kelly's has a group party / dining room, so we assume they would be able to accommodate a large party. Our food was brought out as it was cooked, over the course of an hour. The only server (1) for our room was hussling and she wasn't able to prepare a head of time to bring our condiments, napkins, some missing silverware or refill of beverages out prior to the food...so when we had our food in front of us..we were told we had to wait until all the food was brought to the tables. Really??? Ok so everybody has cold food now! So, The service for our group was not great....but we overlooked the best we could and enjoyed our meals! They didn't prepare for our event. We had 35 ladies eating dinner in the party room. Kelly's I hope will learn from this experience and do better.

Great dinner! Country fried steak was on point! Coffee refilled often.
