Review Denny's - Wichita

The food is some what good. I didn’t like their hot chocolate though, tasted different. We went there around 12am and the staff was nice and helpful. It took the kitchen more than 30 minuets to make a stack of pancakes and some grilled cheese even when there was only a few people in the lobby.

Great service and amazing food! Only problem I have is that they put a bun on my gluten free burger...when I sent it back they just removed the bun...

Pros - Open 24 hours, budget restaurant, average Cons - Frequently changing staff and chef, same food tastes different in every visit, service is mixed (had experience of welcoming staffs and not so welcoming staffs) I was a regular customer here for about 1.5 years. The main dishes I used to have were the Crazy Spicy Skillet, Bourbon Chicken skillet, T-bone steak and Slow cooked pot roast. It is open 24 hours and I used to go with my friends for late night dining and for a low budget you can have not that bad food and service. The experience had been fairly good except the last 2 times in last two months. They change their servers and chef frequently and our last two visits was pretty bad experience. Not much welcoming staff, food was not the same compared to what we used to get. My friend ordered the Crazy spicy skillet and it didn't have the ingredients mentioned in the menu. The slow cooked pot roast was not actually a slow cooked one, instead I got chunk of meat which was like a steak. They should improve the consistency of the dishes and permanent staffs to make it better.

Good food and nice service, but could be better.

Went by myself for a quick bite. Place was virtually empty (1 guy alone working on his laptop & sipping a coffee, a mother & daughter in a booth, and me), but the waitress/kitchen still managed to mess up three things on my order and served my food before I had silverware. At least the food tasted pretty good, after they finally got everything correct.

We were there for about an hour and weren't informed of why the wait was taking so long. When we first arrived, we got 4 out of the 5 drinks we ordered, and never received the fifth one. They brought us coloring pages for the kids but no kids menus, and told us just order whatever for them. The server took the order and never returned. Only when we got up to leave, did they tell us that the printer ran out of paper and our order didn't get placed. They offered us the food for free at that point but we were ready to leave. And on our way out, you could hear the kitchen staff bad talking us.

Average experience here. Our hostess was the best part of the visit, she hooked us up with fresh coffee and not stuff that had been sitting around. Most of our food was cooked okay and the Mango dip for the Chicken Strips was delicious. Unfortunately, our bacon was not cooked all the way and the avocado we ordered was small for what we paid and extremely hard and served on a dirty plate. Most Denny's I visit are much better experiences.

Today the breakfast was delighted. I don't know if they hire new cooks or they are getting better. Thank you so much, all dishes we had were delicious. And also our server Jordan gave us excellent service 👌
