Review Felipes Mexican Restaurant - Wichita

This is always a great experience. The food is good and the staff is friendly. It’s not quite the same experience as the original location off West Street, and the food isn’t quite as good. Mostly, they don’t quite take care of you like they do at the original location, but it’s fun and great for the whole family and large groups too!

This is a very good Mexican restaurant. Good service. Great flavor. Clean. Family friendly. Good bar and drinks.

Drinks are delicious and food tastes fantastic. Simon excels at customer service.

Came in when I was having a bad day, but this turned that around! Our server was wonderful and attentive, food was delicious and came quickly. Taking home leftovers too because my husband and I could only finish half our meal. I'm definitely not much of a leftover-eater but this is too good to leave!

We went to dinner here last night and we were very disappointed in the food. The chips tasted like they used very old fryer oil and the main meals were not like they use to be very bland not a lot of flavor. I will say the wait staff was very good our waitress did a great job.

A very clean and comfortable sit down restaurant. Large and spacious. Wait staff friendly and attentive. Good bar selection. The reason for 3 stars versus 4 or 5 is strictly the food quality. It comes out hot and all, but relatively bland and typical. A bit greasy and heavy. Not heavy per se because of rice and beans, just feels heavy.

On 1/30/2022 late afternoon/early evening. I placed a to go catering order. The girl on the phone was in a hurry to get off the phone and rushed our conversation. She hung up without repeating the order or saying a total. I got to the restaurant and noticed the total seemed WAY off. The very rude/unprofessional girl (Brown hair, younger, and glasses) told me that I ordered the enchiladas catering (which was wrong). I told her that's not what I said and she sighed and was very rude. She tried telling me I was wrong (which I 100 percent know I was right). She charged me wrong twice and both times when I told her she charged me wrong she threw a hissy fit. I was polite and patient with her. However, she was extremally rude and did not even apologize for not listening or charging me wrong. We use their catering a lot and do not attend to again, especially without an apology. Hope someone talks to the host girl. She is going to make this restaurant with so much potential lose a lot of business Very disgusting behavior.

Horrible service, didn't give a drink order was brought water. Then waited 20 mins to order food by a different waiter who was "helping" the other guy out. My order was incorrect but our waiter never came back. Then waited another 25 mins for our check only after I stood up and put my coat on did the original waiter come back. We love Felipe's on east harry but will never visit this location again.

Poor service and the food is terrible. Their menu is a joke. The “Mexican Special” consisted of refried beans, rice, lettuce and a few spoons of chili verde. With a few crusty tortillas on the side. All for the low price of $13.99 USD! The wife got some carne Asada special that was basically boot leather. With the obligatory rice beans and lettuce. She said her drink was bad as well. I don’t really understand how you can mess up booze but whatever. Long story short, a complete waste of time and 45 bucks. Embarrassing. Save your money and go to T Bell or Chipotle.

Cocktails were delicious and smooth! The rating was based on poor service and food presentation and taste. We both have had fast-food better than thie plates served. The salsa was subpar as well.

We celebrated my father's 60 th birthday in the private room with cake. Forgot to bring paper plates and forks for everyone and the waiter and staff were so nice to let us dirty more of their plates. Food was great as always! Arrived pretty fast too even though it was a lot of orders. Waiter did a great job!

It was my birthday, even tho I didn’t get anything free ... it was great food & super “Danny” service!! ����

Excellent service, my food was fresh and simply delicious. I would totally recommend the "Cazuelas " now my favorite drink.

5stars yum yum. Try the Ribeye or KC strip. Made special with great spices, we brought friends. Make sure you get a ice cold dos equiz..Amber! So tasty

WARNING: DO NOT EAT HERE Worst Mexicam food, any othe kind of food for that matter, I have ever eaten. It all tasted like if came out of the freezer or a cardboard box. Could get better from Taco Bell. What a shitty way to have a Birthday Dinner. Only good thing was there beer is cold and our waiter was great.

Decided to give it another try at the 119th Street location after at least a couple years, service still not quite the upscale level that the restaurant trying to project, food was okay, mushy oily potato chips with Steak..!!???!!! cheesy nacho, looks like they didn't put enough time to heat up in the microwave. On the good note, at least I didn't get food poisoning this time I ate there. Definitely no WOW there for me.

Every single time we have gone to Felipe's the service has been second to none. The food is the best and the staff is very friendly.

Drinks are good, food is garbage. It tastes like they microwaved the food and the portions are small. The environment was clean and the hosts were friendly, though a little slow.
