Review Cheri's Bakery - Wichita

Ordering this cake, we asked for an Alaskan winter theme. Mountains, evergreen trees, & Aurora borealis. Clearly that isn’t at all what we got. We even specifically asked not to do any Christmas theme, no snowman. Just an Alaskan winter scene. To say we were disappointed is such an understatement. My family has ordered 3 cakes from Cheri’s this year & every time they were completely decorated wrong. Not even close to what we asked for. I’m not sure if it’s lack of experience or just plain negligence on their behalf but this is NOT how you run a bakery business. I am so disappointed in how the cakes have turned out from them this year. I mean look at the snowman. He isn’t filled to the edge of the black border he had and his FINGERS are uneven?? One has 4 the other has 6 fingers. It looks horrible. I mean how do you sell this to someone for their birthday? A 26 year old man’s birthday! And I have no idea why they thought to put flowers on the other half…. We asked for nicks name writing to be in green & Mickeys name to be in purple. They just completely did not deliver anything we asked for. The cake tasted good but they failed miserably. It’s all wrong. And for how expensive their cakes are I would find someone else in town to decorate your cakes so you don’t waste your money. Don’t be disappointed like we were!

Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of tasty treats to enjoy alone or share with a large group. I bought a cake, cupcakes, and cookies on my visit and everything tasted amazing!

Recently stopped by spur of the moment while I was in the shopping center just to see what they had in their display. Got some brownies and button sugar cookies. Tasted fresh and they looked great too. Looks like they do some pretty good work with cakes and everything else so will keep that in mind and do another review if I place any orders for anything other than just a quick sweet snack!

I'm very appreciative with the quality and service received at Cheri's. I came in with a pic and idea of what I wanted on my son's Taco Bell birthday cake and walked out a week later with a cake that was done with excellence! The cake tasted very good too and received many compliments from those at the party. Thank you Cheri's Bakery... you will definitely be getting my business again.

The best sugar cookies at a very reasonable price. Nice selection to choose from. I drove from Augusta to west Wichita because the customer service was outstanding and the cake was very tasty 😋

Very nice stuff. Personally, I have never been. However, I would strongly recommend a nice ice cream option as this is after all, a bakery, and what better way to express your bakering attitude than buy using your very special bakering skills to baker away a beautiful lot of ice cream. 👍 10/10 would go again.

I went in for an interview and am I surprised all of the pastries and cakes were absolutely gorgeous it definitely encouraged my opinion of wanting to work for the establishment the cakes and cookies were all so beautiful if I could give them 10 Stars I would

I LOVE Cheri's Bakery...I got my wedding cake from there and they were so accomodating with bringing it all the way to Kansas City for me!!! Everyone loved their cake at the wedding and it was a hit (I highly recommend the spice cake) �...I am also a teacher and get cookies for my students from them all the time...they are always so accomodating with all of my crazy ideas of what I want! The staff is so friendly and always go above and beyond to make my experience perfect! I will and do recommend them to anyone needing sweets for whatever event!!!!

Made cakes for our combined birthday party this weekend. All three were amazing and beautiful. I almost didn't want to eat them because they were so pretty. We also got some cutouts and they were to die for too!!

These ladies are so amazing to work with & every cake/cookie I've ordered from them are always delicious & gorgeous!!! The lemon & strawberry cakes are my family's favorites! From our wedding cake, to our sons' birthday cakes & cookies, to sweets when we have our Priest over for supper...they've never disappointed! Thank you all at the bakery for making all of our special occassions so sweet!!

I ordered a cake for my dad's 80th birthday. The cake was decorated with a John Deere tractor. My dad loved it! The cake was moist and the frosting was great. I was concerned about not having enough to serve everyone, but if you cut it just like they state on their pricing guideline, you will have enough. We ended up having 2 pieces leftover. It was perfect! Thank you.

I was so late on ordering my daughter’s 10th birthday cake this year and only gave them two days notice and as usual they knocked it out of the park and the cake was incredible, custom and delicious!! I’ve been enjoying Cheri’s for years and I’ve never been disappointed!!

I’ve used Cheri’s now for two years. This time I said just do something special. They killed it! The cake is good too. Wish I could post a picture here, she loved it!

Stopped in Saturday right before close and got 2 cookies. They are so good I can never wait to go back!

I have been a loyal customer of Cheri’s for years and love them so! They’re always friendly, helpful, and do a great job. I only wish the chocolate covered chocolate chip cookie dough would make a comeback. Pretty please!!! ���

I order 3 dozen football themed cut out cookies!! They were willing to make one special for a little guy who can’t have dye. Cheri’s thank you for being flexible and willing to make one cookie without food coloring for my sons football team! The boys loved the cookies!

I gave them a photo of my daughter's first birthday invitation and they mode the most adorable pumpkin cake. I appreciate the creativity and attention to detail. They cake turned out better than I could have imagined!
