First timers! We started out with the poppers appetizer which was delicious. Very creamy filling! The boyfriend ordered the 18oz porterhouse and I ordered the chicken Alfredo. Everything was cooked wonderfully. The only reason I gave it four stars was the lack of flavor. I have a feeling it may have just been a one-off so we will be coming back for a second time to check out other menu items. Otherwise, everything was great! Service was awesome!

It’s my family’s go to place to eat. They always have great service and they hand cut all their steaks. Highly recommend

First time patron and was not disappointed in the least. I understand why this place has been around for as long as it has been. That steak was so tender I probably could have cut that with a spoon. Definitely an underrated place in Wichita, will be back again real soon.

Wonderful restaurant. Good food, good portion sizes. Classic, well done, Italian dishes, including fettuccine and spaghetti, mixed with more local Kansas fare, such as fried chicken and steak. The decor is a bit dated, but in my opinion, that actually makes it better, more authentic.

I'm torn to leave 3 stars because I've heard so many good things about this place. I ordered a sirloin with fries and it was OK. The steak was nothing remarkable and the fries we're somewhat soggy.
My wife and kids got spaghetti and fettuccini alfredo, and they all loved theirs.
It's a place we'll probably try again, but I'm not in a rush.
As far as service was concerned, everyone there was beyond helpful and friendly. The staff was great.

I won't bore you with a long disappointment explanation but that porterhouse steak i had was the worse steak i have ever had in my life. But the fried Ravioli was awesome. If i was the owner of this establishment I'd hire a new steak chef or take the steaks off the menu.

Classic gem of Wichita. If you want great food, great atmosphere, and great people, look no further-- this is the spot. It's got charm, character, and a well-earned patina, and if you don't like that, go to Applebee's-- I'm sure they've got something bland for ya!

Old school classic Italian restaurant. Had the manicotti and it was delicious.

Ask for Angel Bc she's the best server I've ever seen and I've been a server since I was 12 years old, starting in my own family's place.
The chicken Marsala is outstanding, as is the tiramisu!!!
I'm going for my 40th birthday in less than two weeks. I'm looking forward to it.
Always excellent food and Service.
Love this place!

This is old school Italian. Although it's not in a good location, it's worth the trip. The freshly breaded & fried provolone cheese with house marinara is a great way to kick off the meal. Entrees come with a salad and I recommend the house Italian salad. They serve a lot of traditional Italian dishes, but I go for the hand trimmed sirloin. One of the best and cheapest steaks in the area. I skip the baked potato and get the spaghetti as my side.

We grew up eating dinner at Savute’s, back then you had to bring your own bottle. Of course now you can’t but the food is still just as good as it was then. My favorite is a filet mignon and the dressings are the best! It’s always been a friendly down to earth good experience.

Wow! First time there for a Birthday party. T-bone steak with a side of spaghetti. Best meal I’ve had out for quite sometime. Prices for meal and drinks were unexpectedly low. Visiting from out of state but will be back for certain. You can check the menu online it’s great.

The ravioli ordered came to the table with NO MEAT upon cutting them open (straight dough with nothing stuffed inside), the sauce was bland and too sweet, and the salad was puny and pathetic - prices were a ripoff for the portion sizes and quality.
I sent the pasta back and ordered a T-bone steak to replace it. It was paper thin. Perhaps the FRIED CHICKEN is what I should have ordered at this ITALIAN establishment. This experience was not what I expected after so many people talked up the place highly.

We enjoy dining here once a month or so..I usually get the Spagetti and meatballs but have had steaks and other Italian dishes..all great! I love the Aviation menu and collectibles! I visited with John Savute a few times and remember a time when we talked when he owned Beaumont Hotel. Pete..his son is usually back there cooking. The staff and servers are always prompt and friendly. We recommend this resturant for a fun evening visit!

The lasagna has never disappointed!! Steaks are excellent too!! The interior needs updating but I have to admit, it's so much a part of their charm. I Love Savute's!

Always great service, love their food! Steaks are tender, but I also like their beef lasagna, the baked orange roughy, chicken marsala with fettuccine...and the spumoni!

Usually I order Petes delight which is a good portion of spaghetti and meatballs. It's good and filling. This time I wanted to try one of their steaks...which they are known for. Sadly the steak (a top sirloin) was very tough and half full of gristle. Bad meal for sure.

Exceptional cuisine with the down home and authentic feel. I would recommend this to anyone. There's a reason they're one of the oldest restaurants around ;)

The food was good and the service was good. They were very accommodating for our large party. We will be back for the Italian food next time!
