We enjoyed the food, they had a nice variety. I got the pad thi noodles. A very big helping with a LOT of shrimp. Probably 17 good size shrimp. My wife and son both enjoyed their noodle dishes as well. And we all had half left over to bring home. Only 11-12 $ each, great buy! The entry way had a musty smell. And we found a hair in the sweet and sour sauce, so they gave us money off our bill. (That was kind of gross) but it didn't ruin the occasion, everything else made up for it. I don't think that was typical of Golden Chef.
BTW the egg rolls were very good too.
Great place for Chinese food. Large portions and reasonable prices. Esther, the owner is so nice and will meet your dietary needs. Can order baked egg rolls which are awesome and less calories than the fried ones. Food is great, take out is great and the restaurant is easy to get to. Wait staff could be a bit quicker bringing tea to the table, refills, etc. All in all, a great place to eat!
Their appetizers are a meal in themselves! egg rolls and shrimp rolls are hand-made and tasty! BBQ beef sticks are yummy!
I'm very price-conscious on takeout, so was delighted with the large portions for the BBQ pork fried rice and chicken fried rice.
I call ahead and everything is usually ready when I get there.
Not a super-high-class lift-your-little-pinky place, but that's not what I like.
Service was pretty good and food was good. I ordered mushu pork which was great and came to the table wrapped in appropriate pancakes. I thought that was great since several places around serve mushu with like tortillas. They do have family style round tables with lazy susans which I like but the plates are just slightly too large for them so you have to be very careful to turn it to avoid spilling water glasses. Overall a good experience and I'd go back again.
Others in my party had orange chicken which I thought was good. Mongolian beef that was maybe light on the actual beef but the meat was tender with good flavor. I also had wonton soup which I thought was great.
