Tucked away in Danada TownSquare is Sushi Ukai. It’s a little unassuming, but it’s a standout of a sushi and Japanese dining experience.
To be fair, we just had the edamami and sushi for lunch. All of it, delicious. The sushi was amazing actually. You can tell someone knows what they’re doing with flavors and composing rolls.
Pro tip: go with the dry sake to share with your sushi.
Sushi Ukai was great. That kitchen is putting out some flavor. And the added art work on our plate was over the top, but in a very good way. I loved the fence and art display that held together with Wasabi. That added a whole layer to our time that was all about them just wanting us to have a good time. Thanks.

It's in a strip mall, but you forget that quickly. I'm not an avid sushi comsumer. They helped us decide what to order. We ended up with Bento Box B. It consisted of Teriyaki Chicken, rice, veggie tempura, shrimp tempura, and something I didn't recognize (but it was tasty). That was split between the 2 of us. We also ordered Eel, just because, which was delicious. They kept coming back to see if we needed anything. My kid wanted to try seaweed without anything, just seaweed. They brought out 2 squares. We weren't charged for them.

The sushi here is delicious. The miso soup is great too. We like to get the bento boxes for a variety. The spicy tuna rolls are one of my favorites around. We always dine in, however I notice many people order carry out as well.

We come here at least once a month! Great sushi and nice staff. Our favorite rolls are the Snow White, orchid, and South Pacific. Definitely worth a try!

Sushi and bento dinner were delicious! Everything taste so fresh, the service was great and the restaurant has a very nice cozy/home vive, we will definitely come back ☺️

This place has been in Wheaton for as long as I can remember and have never been there. It did not disappoint. Server, Coco, suggested a delicious roll. My husband said it was the best fried rice he's ever had.

Sooooo good! Had a group of 6, they were efficient and each dish was truly great. Authentic taste, fresh clean flavors and ingredients, AND large portions. Usually you get one or the other. Will definitely be back.

Nice and cozy sushi restaurant. From the sushi to the soup, entrées and bento boxes all were well prepared and to our taste. Portion sizes were larger than we expected. We went later in the evening on a weekday so was not busy and got to enjoy a relaxing family dinner.

Really good selections, I recommend the Volcano Roll if you like baked. Fried gyoza for appetizer is good too. Friendly service would return.
