Rios Piri Piri

One of my favorite places to eat in Weymouth, for a quick bite. The prices are competetive, and the food is so tasty. I usually go for the extreme hot Frango burger, without mayo (and they always remember to not add mayo! Nice) It's the only place where extreme hot actually means it's spicy! I love the little chilli sauce dip too, really tasty. The fries are always prepared fresh to order and are crunchy and piping hot. I love the fact that they still use the proper straws in their soda cups - so no gross soggy paper in your drink (massive bonus points for not 'greenwashing' their business, and focusing instead on better customer experience). The staff are always friendly and polite while taking orders. It's always clean and well maintained too. No rubbish on the floor, tables are wiped down frequently, etc. If I had to find something that could be improved, I would say that the 1 minute loop advertising screen is a little distracting. But a very minor suggestion. I just love the fact that they don't 'tone down' the flavors, or spice, to patronize the British market - It's strong flavors, spicy, and authentic - Just the way it should be. Rios - Please keep things exactly the same. Don't change anything. I love it.

Not gonna lie this place is the home of the £7.00 burger. And it is worth every penny! Being a 56 year old American who has had a burger or two I feel pretty justified in saying that. The chicken at Rio's is also phenomenal, beyond anything you have had before. I imagine The Colonel sneaking away in shame. A bit expensive but I promise that you will never be disappointed.

I wasn't expecting it to be this good, but the chicken is outstanding! It was tender and not dry on the inside, while adequately charred on the outside, so they grill it well. The marinade is delicious and there's lots of it - it's served inside a foil packet, retaining the heat and marinade. I had the half chicken which was enough to satiate my whole-day fasting. The peri fries were crispy and well seasoned - tasted amazing when combined with the free peri sauce! Couldn't take a photo as I was in my car and my hands were all saucy. Great service too from the lady at the till. Thanks!
