H D Dudt Bakery

I am giving a neutral rating to this bakery mostly because it was the end of the day, and they were already sold out of many desserts. I would expect the selection of desserts to be much larger at the beginning of the day. Nevertheless, I liked the freshness and taste of the cookies and donut that I bought. The cookies were on sale for half off, so I ended up with an entire box of desserts for only a few dollars.

Looks are deceiving! Just picked this up today, and it is so dry! It must have been left over from last week to say the least. Also purchased a half-and-half cake. This was terribly dense...nothing like a typical cake. Will never go back here again. Just my experience, I'm sure there are others that have had a better experience.

Stopped in here while walking along 19 during an appointment for my car. I have driven past many times but never thought to go in. The selection is of good variety. I got half a dozen donuts to take for breakfast and they are delicious! By the looks of how many pickup orders they had lined up I would say they are in good business, which is fortunate because I definitely plan to go back and try their desserts!

Used to have great products. Last 3 times sold us stale cakes that we ordered for specific occasions. They must bake them beginning of the week and just freshly ice them to fill orders. I miss the wonderful products, and I always recomended them. It was a pleasure paying the increased price this year for yet another stale cake. I understand the price increase, but they take no care w quality of their products. Such a sad decline of a great business.

I ordered a full sheet cake for our daughter’s baby shower this past weekend and I must say that it surpassed my expectations! It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and so DELICIOUS! I ordered marble cake with the buttercream frosting and it was perfect! So many compliments on the appearance and taste of this cake! Not to mention-this was a BIG cake! I thought it would only be a single layer sheet cake but it was double layers! We divided the remaining cake up for our family and everyone was happy to take some home! Thank you to the lady who took my order, the decorator and the sale ladies who assisted me when we picked up our cake. It was a pleasure doing business with Dudt’s and I will always highly recommend them to everyone. This is our favorite bakery and well worth the trip.

Dudts bakery is always delicious and consistent. The staff is wonderful, and very accommodating. All of the ala carte pastries are just as your grandmother would make them...extra filling, extra icing and extra love. Do get extra cinnamon rolls, as you will likely eat 2 on the way to your destination. Every item is baked fresh, rather than pre-made, so please do not complain is an item is sold out when you arrive.
