Bud's At Silver Run

We had a great dinner with really nice service on a Saturday night. The Duck Confit was the best thing we had, its excellent. The Elk Chop was delicious & the Catfish special was ok...it wasn't bad at all, but bland by comparison, it's accompanying Spinach Risotto was very good though. The Bread Pudding is delicious, very light with a little crisp to it, I'd prefer it w/o the chocolate though.

What a pleasant surprise! Leaving Gettysburg, we were looking for a place to eat dinner. Luckily, we saw a billboard advertising Bud's, so we were looking for it. Otherwise, we might have missed it. The service was friendly and professional. The meal was outstanding. We had the porterhouse steak for two. Three of us ate it and we actually brought a small piece home! Will definitely stop again if in the area (would even make a small detour, if necessary). Highly recommended!

We called on a Saturday afternoon and they were able to squeeze us in for a table for 2. It's a cozy, country inn with excellent cuisine. My wife ordered lamb and I had a savort dry-rub beef dish which was outstanding. They offer quite a good selection of wines and my wife had a zero proof martini which she loved.

I love this place. I reminded myself I should write a review since a topic was brought up recently. Once my little brother ordered a root beer float when the restaurant was out of ice cream. And somebody went to the store and got ice cream for the float. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, outstanding business.

I have gone past Bud's many times traveling to my sister-in-law's house in Littlestown, but had yet to visit. High marks on Trip Advisor convinced us to try it out for dinner on a warm Tuesday evening. Bud's did not disappoint! The dining room is very nice - it's appearance would seem to accompany a costlier menu, but there are many very reasonably priced items to choose from. Everything that the 5 of us ordered was excellent, from the crab soup to the bread pudding, and everything in between. I had the Surf and Turf burger (crab cake on a burger), and it was fantastic. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. Looking forward to future visits when we're in the area.
