Hacienda Colorado - Westminster

From the outside this place looks nice. Once you’re inside it’s a different story. It’s dirty, the floors are sticky, the bathroom is disgusting, the service is slow, the food is mediocre at best, and they clearly don’t care. My meal was far from fresh with enchiladas that tasted bland and dry, and the soggiest “crunchy” tacos that weren’t even worth eating. The only good thing was the salsa, but it was ruined by the stale chips. I kindly told my server all of these disappointing details and she responded by comping my iced tea. I recommend going across the street to Chuy’s, or literally any other Mexican food restaurant because this place is awful.

Nice restaurant with cool decor, the menu has typical Mexican food items as burritos, tacos, fajitas etc. It's an upscale Mexican establishment, with that being said, the dishes are not traditional but more adapted to the local area. Portions are good and the service provided by our waiter was top notch.

The Chicken fajitas are not a good value. At all. My wife and I ate at Hacienda in Westminster on 11/7. We've eaten there probably close to 10 times in the past two years. My wife had the chicken fajitas (see photo). Everything is great except for maybe the most important part: the chicken. It's a small breast. Difficult get more than two fajitas out of that. It's not a good value for $18.50. I had the Roberto's Platter whish is two chicken enchiladas and a crispy chicken taco. It was flavorful and also included Spanish rice. Good value for the amount of food and tasty. The cheese dip is above average. The service quick and helpful. We like Hacienda, but that's ridiculous to charge that much for such a little amount of protein.

The food was yummy, the service was o.k., the ambiance is terrible. The tables look dirty because they are in desperate need to be refinished. The booth seating is uncomfortable and you could rest your chin on the table because you sit so low...with the prices paid to eat there, you expect a comfortable and inviting dining room.

I started going to Hacienda regularly during the pandemic. Their take out is always great - on time and accurate for what I ordered. Take out also includes chips and salsa, and is carefully packed to keep fresh until it gets home (tacos require self assembly, but on the flip side the shell is crunchy!) Dine in is also great. I've always been able to snag a seat, food comes out fast and service is attentive. Of all the restaurants in Walnut Creek, this one takes the cake. There's also loads of parking.
