Sonic Drive-in

I was rather disappointed and I’m sure other people were equally disappointed. I used the app to make my order. I ordered a foot long hot dog they didn’t give me anything to eat it with. So I get home which is like 4 minutes away and get something to eat it with. It looked like it had been under a heat lamp for most of the day. But I was hungry so I attempted to eat it. Turns out it was just as bad as it looked. Bread was stale and it was dry. Back it up a little and when they was bringing me my order they gave me 3 different ice creams which I ordered and then they handed me 2 large drinks 2 medium drinks and a child drink. I asked well how many drinks did she order and she looked at my ticket And said that was right…find out she only ordered 2 large Dr Pepper well out of all the drinks I received only the child drink was a Dr Pepper the rest were diet drinks. Won’t make that mistake again. I’m sure the people with no drinks or my regular Dr Pepper was not happy either

Highly disappointed. Just moved to Westlake from Port Arthur,TX. Now sometimes they had bad customer service, but I'd say 80% of the time I was satisfied and didn't have any issues. I expected this local sonic to meet or exceed that. Nope. First the app is screwed up and wouldn't let us use it. Then I go to order Mozzarella sticks and there out of it. Arg ok fine I'll get tots then I order the one thing I order pretty much every time I go to Sonic, footlong chili cheese coney. "Oh where out of that I can get you a 6 inch" Nope! I'm not a child. That's insulting. How can you be out of those two major items. That's when I said nope cancel and we drove away. I was also gonna get a large shake but God knows if you would have had that! I hope you can get this settled because I really like Sonic, especially your shakes and blasts but I'm not gonna suffer these kind of issues.

As far as Sonics go this one is just below par (which I would say is average). Here are my experiences over the last few months since coming to the area. If you get the jumbo popcorn chicken large size, you will get a medium size portion in the large box, same with the fries. If you ask for buffalo sauce for your chicken, you will get it about 1/3 of the time. Every single time I have used the drive through they have forgotten my drink, I have had to remind them, and wait the additional time for them to prepare it; today I forgot to remind them, thus I paid for a drink I did not get. These practices seem to be standard practice among sonics, though some are better than average (4 star) and very few are just exceptional (where you get what you pay for AND the staff are nice; 5 star). The staff here are nice; except in robbing of you the portion you paid for, I would say they are generally respectful. This sonic would thrive if they would give people what portion size they pay for and make sure the orders are correct. I do not know if this is a staff problem, or if like most fast food places seem to be, the staff are instructed to cut portions so the owner can keep more of the profit. Either way, I’d eat here a lot more if I didn’t get robbed every time I go.

I rarely go to Sonic for myself. I usually go when my wife is craving a cherry limeade or mozzarella sticks. All the Sonics in the area seem to operate consistently well. Kudos to them for having the option to order a burger early in the morning. Sometimes I do not want a breakfast item, nor do I feel like going home and cooking something, so, I'll pull into Sonic, order a Cheeseburger, and wait a few minutes for it to be prepped. That's my recommendation for those wanting a hot and fresh, better than average, fast food burger. Your welcome, and that's the main reason why I took the time to rate this place. Well, that and their quick service. The prices are a bit high, but who's the exception to this these days? Nobody.
