Review The Apron Cafe - Westhampton Beach

One of the best kept secrets on the South Fork. From the service to the food, it is all great. Also it is very cozy. Like being in the old TV series Wings!

Let me tell you something...This place did not look like it was going to be good from the outside. It was tucked away behind one building and next to another one. My husband wanted to bail, but hung with it after some consideration. Real talk, this place is GREAT. It's a hidden gem tucked away where you might never see it unless you are in to private aviation or a long time local. The kids loved to see the planes, and most importantly the food was good. This isnt' the fanciest place in the world, but the service is excellent and the people were really nice and friendly. If Cheers was was a cafe tucked way in the corner of a private airport, this would be Cheers. This is FOR SURE a place to check out, I recommend the S.O.S and the waffle bites.

Great place for lunch at FOK.... taxi to base of tower. Give your server your tail number to avoid a landing fee. Tower folks are helpful and friendly as well. Multiple runways so have an airport diagram as you approach and report over the highway when coming from the north. Love the cafe as well ... closed Tuesday.. try the Louisiana eggs ! Two eggs on a muffin topped with a spicy sausage sauce !

The food was really good, albeit a little pricy. That is to be expected in this area. There was live entertainment on the sunday (July 9) that we went. I really enjoyed the waffle bites special, but I didn't notice very much maple syrup as was mentioned in the description on the specials page. I'm sure that if I asked for some they would gladly provide it because the staff seemed very accommodating, even though they were a little disorganised. We brought our infant daughter and had no problem keeping her stroller by our table. The view of the airplanes taking off and landing was nice. Overall it was a decent experience.

Good food in an intimate diner overlooking the runway. Pilots taxi right up to eat and you can see the planes taking off and landing. I love that they have grits and some very interesting breakfast options.

The Apron Cafe is a really cool location. It's a little hard to find at first if it's your first time checking out this place, but once you find it, it's a very cool place. It has a local, adventurous vibe to it. I ordered an Eggs Benedict with orange juice and coffee with their special menu for New Year's Day. The service and food was fantastic. I would come back here.

The Apron Cafe is a no frills flight line restaurant that offers great food at a low price. While we accidentally ended up at the Apron Cafe it is worth an intentional trip to enjoy their waffles and veggie omelet. Off the beaten path in Long Island it is a special combination of great food and a unique location.

Great fly-in lunch spot. I always grab a bite here whenever I fly into FOK. It's a hidden gem, and I believe they are open for dinner on Friday's but call to confirm this as Google shows they close at 2:30pm. Enjoy!

Fly in for a great meal ... love the Louisiana or SOS eggs. Spicy creole sauce with sausage over two eggs on English muffin ! Put your tail number on bill to avoid landing fee. The tower is always helpful but they cannot hand you off to New York approach for VFR.. flight following.

Really good, we had the veggie omelet and the SOS and they were wonderful! Sat right next to the big window that let us see some of the planes taking off. Staff was good, food great!

Place is smazing,everything is made fresh,specials every day,staff is very friendly, food comes out in a timely fashion,they serve breakfast everyday(All day Sat/Sun) and lunch. You'll feel like your lost because it is a hidden gem but it's right behind the Sherrifs outpost on Gabreski Airport in WHampton. Great spot👍👍

Very delicious and generous portion. Hidden on the Grabesky airport property, an unexpected find. Would definitely go back if my travels take me back to the Hampton!

Place was kind of hard to find but the food was very good. Nice slow quite place, a little pricey even for westhampton but better than regular diner breakfast. Would go back again

It is the best! When you have to wait a little because it's so busy tells me it's great food and a nice price. My chicken sandwich was delicious, so much I had to take half home.

Breakfast everyday theyre open, and sundays is breakfast day only (so no burgers, etc). Very good place. Fun to fly into. Park next to tower. No landing fee if Ure eating there

Cute tiny diner. Staff was friendly. I had breakfast. It was as what you would expect from a cafe breakfast. The inside fills up quickly. There is outdoor seating available.

The Apron cafe is an excellent place for breakfast or lunch. Food is unbelievable, fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the French toast, never had anY better than Tess's!!!!!

In town to visit for the 4th with family and friends. We head over to this "business" and they are closed. In Fact some rude guy comes out the door and almost yells at us that they are closed. Nice way to make that impression moron. Your staff sucks, your customer service sucks and this place sucks.

What a nice surprise to have in Westhampton Beach! Really good food, decent service. It isn't inexpensive, but it is about right for the quality of what you get. Lots of good choices and they seem understanding of dietary needs of people. Lots of gluten free choices and they seem to "get it!" See you soon, MG

Great place for breakfast. Veggie egg white omelette, you probably don't know that she has goat cheese to add in the mix. So accommodating.

Went to take my grandparents here to eat for the 4th today but they were closed. Says they open at 8. Cant find any info on when they close. Show up and long behold closed early with no warning. Thanks now I gotta take my grandparents to McDonald’s.

I had the SOS and it was awesome. Sausage gravy on top of over easy eggs on English muffins with home fries. I enjoyed it very much plus I'm like a kid and love to watch the planes

Went for breakfast today and had the western omelette....it was perfect ...the breakfast potatoes were unbelievably delicious and the wait staff was fabulous. Thank you it made my day . See you soon

It's a great stop off when we go flying for breakfast. It can get a little crowded especially in the summertime . It is worth the wait

Perfect start to our Mothers Day. Food was excellent especially the SOS and crab cake special. they even made special order for the kids. Very friendly staff.

Don't go here run for your life. Went for breakfast today. Forty minute wait. OK Never waited for breakfast in my life, maybe once in Hershey Park.<br/>Then it's another 22 minutes not a glass of water yet. I approach the counter to complain. This disgrace of a kid tells me<br/>everyone is waiting an hour for water. OK A few minutes later the kid is provoking me. Our friends had a one O'clock appointment to we raced to a bagel place in Speonk, totally stressed out. Bummer. They have lost there way. I live in Westhampton <br/>and would not step foot in there ever again.

Food was very good comfort food. Staff is small and all food is made fresh so don't be in a rediculous hurry and sit back and enjoy a nice meal or call ahead for a to go order. Very relaxed atmosphere in a small space so stress levels are low. Well worth a try or three.
