We wanted to have a nice get together over delicious food when my friend recommended this spot. We love Cuban food so this wasn't a hard sell. We were worried about the time limit of 1h 45m but our appetizers, entrees and drinks came out in a timely fashion. There was music in the background but it wasn't blasting so, we chatted comfortably. The chef was in the back and very friendly as he came out to greet every table. Our waiter and host checked on us often and everything was good. The food was tasty. One dish of oxtail was soooo tender, fall off the bone tender. My shrimp with rice and Maduro was so on point. My friend loved her chicken dish and decided to save some for later since she was full and it was so flavorful. Nice experience all around. We were worried about parking but found lots of street parking on a Sunday. We were having such a good time, I almost forgot to take pics.

I absolutely love this spot. A new favorite on my list. The atmosphere is low key, but somehow still elegant, both inside and out. The customer service is surreal. They definitely make you feel catered to. Every single thing on the menu is delicious š and it's BYOB, so a great place to bring your favorite wine. Highly recommended šš½

My friend and I went today for a lovely lunch with my service dogšš The staff couldnāt be nicer in welcoming us and giving us a nice quiet seat by the window. Food was good value and delicious and we loved the tres leches cake for dessert. We enjoyed the laid back ambience and location slightly away from the center of town as lots of parking but still nearby. Thoroughly good experience and we will be back.

This food was absolutely AMAZING - it really feels like youāre transported away from Westfield when youāre here. We loved the atmosphere. Itās BYOB, so they brought us a bucket of ice for our wine. The pork and steak were incredible, the churro was the perfect way to end. Will DEFINITELY be back

The food here at 1958 Cuban Cuisine is amazing. The delicious And appealing authenticity of the dishes brings me back to my childhood meals. Everything is incredible and the service felt like we were within family. I highly recommend this location, any dish, any appetizer and anything on the menu comes out exactly as you imagine it.
The pictures I took is right after the plates were presented and no one could wait to taste it so we just ate it lol.
Enjoy and make sure you try 1958 Cuban Cuisine soon! Oh and itās BYOB so bring your favorite drink.

BYOB. This gem hidden in plain sight serves delicious Cuban cuisine in a cozy space, so make sure to make reservations. The atmosphere, sounds, and auroma bring me back to Miami's Little Havana. The attentive and friendly waiters will mix your favorite cocktail if you bring your own bottle. Now, the restaurant has partnered with a winery so you can purchase a bottle and enjoy their house mixed sangria or a glass of wine with your meal. In the summertime, I highly recommend the peach sangria. The Tres Leches dessert is the best I have tasted around the area, and I will keep on looking to see if it can be topped. š

What an amazing experience we had at this restaurant. A group of friends went out for a friend's birthday and this place did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great, the service was good, but did feel like they took a while to bring food out. But once the food was out, it was so delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food, and once dessert came. The FLAN is AMAZING! Best flan I ever had, definitely recommend.

First time here and overall it was a good experience. As I've read in some other reviews, the ropa vieja was not what I expected. It was sweet and didn't have the flavor I was hoping for. The lechon was out of this world and so were the appetizers. The cheese cake and flan were awesome. The service was a bit slow but not terrible. Will definitely go back and try other dishes.

Perhaps it was busy (didn't seem so) but it took the waiter nearly 10 minutes to initially come to our table. When the food finally came, my steak was extremely rare. They took it back to cook it medium well but it returned nearly flavorless and dry. Yuca was watery, unseasoned and onions nearly raw. My husband's ropa vieja was decent. My nephews chicken noodle soup was watered down with chicken pieces and vegetable pieces comparable to Campbells. The best part was the coffee and decor. The manager offered a complementary steak if I returned. I feel like they should have offered to correct the things on my plate rather than that. I normally never complain but definitely disappointed after the hype of an authentic Cuban cuisine.

The place was nicely decorated. The welcome was warm. The blonde older waitress was horrible and left a bitter taste in my mouth. First, she rushed me into ordering. Then didnāt bother to put bread on our table. She gave me the creeps. Treated other guests horrible (one walked out). She was MIA the whole time. Her tone and remarks and way she carries herself made me uncomfortable. When it was time to pay, she asked if we wanted our change (which was more than $30). Didnāt give me a bag for my take out, I had to ask her for one. She was just horrible! For a small place like that they shouldnāt have a waitress thatās so negative and has no sense of customer service. If I want Cuban food again this will not be the place.

Fantastic food! Be sure to make a reservation or you will not get seated. It's a smaller place but it's done right. The owner walks around and greets the tables. He is very friendly and personable and it was a true pleasure to converse with him. The food is fresh and delicious. It is a byob so bring along your favorite vino! ... try the ham croquettes as an appetizer... so delicious. In fact, all the food is delicious! On our first visit, we had a great server. The second visit, the server was a tad flaky... he took away silverware with the appetizer plates then we sat with our food in front of us with no silverware for over 10 minutes while we saw him helping other people. He knew we needed them but I guess he got distracted. We had to send one of our meals back (steak) because it got cold by then but they made up for it with some of the most delicious Tres Leches cake and a comped steak. We will certainly be back as we really enjoyed it.

I went here for Fatherās Day with my family and enjoyed our meal immensely. It is a comfortable place to dine in with the Latin music playing on their speakers softly added to the Latin vibe. A plus that they allow byob! Definitely will return.

I am not a professional restaurant critic nor do I give many restaurant reviews. Put simply, the food was plentiful and delicious. The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I see many return trips in my future.

My boyfriend and Iļø came here for a late lunch/early dinner yesterday. Iļø love surprises and he surprised me with this new place. Iļø love the vibe Iļø got the minute Iļø laid my eyes on it - very homey, cute, and itās BYOB which is great. We were warmly greeted, seated quickly, and were ready to eat. Iļø really wanted the fresh homemade tamale as an appetizer, but unfortunately, they sold out - that means they have to be delicious! Thereās always next time ļæ½ We ended up ordering the empanadas- we got one chicken, ins beef. Iļø absolutely loved the chicken! Iļø tend to go more towards chicken than beef but thatās just me. On to our entrees, my boyfriend got the skirt steak medium rare with rice and beans and Iļø got the Cubano sandwich with rice beans. Both were very delicious! We will definitely be back soon ļæ½

Best food! I had a completely great evening... good food... outdoor dining... the owner checked on us and helped us cross the busy street! Wonderful experience!

We live on Boulevard and have been so so hopeful that a great restaurant would finally come into this spot. We have already been 4 times during the pre-opening phase and have loved every visit. The food is excellent, the owner charming and the staff very attentive. Give it a try!!!

The menu is varied and rich in tradition and the food is tasty, plenty, beautifully presented and reasonably priced. This byob restaurant ambiance, centrally located in the chic town of Westfield, captures the nostalgic feeling of the long gone era for which Havana is so well loved. The service is friendly. Nice little night in town that won't dissapoint you!

Went there with my family on a weeknight. Restaurant was busy but food and service were great. Will come back again and definitely recommend to others.

I grew up in Hudson County and this is the 2nd largest population of Cubans outside Of Miami. Iāve had lots of Cuban food and 1958 food was absolutely amazing. The food was excellent and so was the service. Itās a byob. Order the cafe con Leche and the flan. Special place.
