Reviews Local Eatery And Pub

The Local Eatery and Pub provides a comfortable ambience and an excellent dining experience. Good quality wines, innovative cocktails, and a rotating list of more than a dozen craft beers will satisfy most. But the food has consistently exceeded our expectations, and we have never experienced bad service. On Sunday, 11/26/17, I started with a cup of Beef Vegetable Soup. The meat and vegetables were quite good, but the broth was incredible! More like a very thin Beef Gravy, to say it was rich and satisfying is a gross understatement. This delightful dish was the perfect thing for these cooler, Fall days. While my interest was drawn to several of the special entrées, I instead chose something a little lighter, as a balance to the very satisfying soup. I ordered a half size Cobb Salad. When it was brought to me, I was impressed by their idea of what a half portion should look like. And the menu description didn't do justice to the quality of the ingredients. It was full of roast chicken bites, and everything else was very good. Our waiter was Zach, who remembered, from our previous visits, what our drink preferences were, and we also asked him for food recommendations. My wife and I were both very happy with our food and service. And by the way, we were there between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM. I suspect that some of the reviews that described bad service may have taken place at a busier time of the day. The Local continues to be our go to place for excellent food and service in a relaxing atmosphere. Do try to come back when they may be somewhat less busy. There's a very good chance your experience will be as good as I've described in this review. Good eating, dear reader!

Excellent food...great service lots of fun! The Market items are s must. Kids meals are generous in portion. The Kung Pao Fried Hen with house made Kim Chi was amazing. Rachael had the cat fish nuggets. They were huge and very good and fresh.

I love the Local. Great place for getting together with friends. Food is always good and you never know what is going to be on the menu. It changes all the time according to what is available locally grown. Thus the name Local.

Excellent place recommended to us. Great food with a good selection as well. Waitress was also good. Little loud in there which was just what our group actually needed. Locally produced food. Highly recommend!

Blown away again! Beautifully prepared filet, fearless sauce on the kale (lots of garlic!). Hubby's pork tenderloin was perfection. Did someone say Not So Old Fashioned? Wonderful service as usual- thanks Zach.

Great FRESH food! The lamb burger was fantastic! Wish it had been warm enough to sit outside on the patio.

Hidden gem. Scratch-made kitchen, craft cocktails, local brews, large liquor and wine selection, fun kids options, sweet staff and large accessible space. Everything is getting an update currently so there's new surprises every week.

First time I had been back since the week they opened. For some reason, the Local would never come up on "places to eat". I had the Nashville Chicken sandwich and not pictured was the Berry Crisp. The food, overall, was very good! The Nashville Chicken is more of a red habanero paste, than a true Nashville pepper sauce. Nice heat to it and I liked that they even printed a warning for others that it is actually hot. The Cajun tots were crispy and had plenty of spices on them. The absolute star was the Berry Crisp though. It was in a large bowl, topped with whipped cream and a scoop of ice cream. It was very dense, but on the good kind of way. I could have just had that and would have been satisfied. I definitely think that we will be adding the Local to the family rotation.

This is such a great spot with local, fresh ingredients, plenty of vegetarian and GF options and a solid beer selection. I hadn’t been here in years, but coming back again, it was just as good as I remember. I had the cauliflower wrap and Cajun tots. Delicious!

This is the spot! Must try. Tucked away off of 146th, next to my favorite breakfast spot lies quality food with great service. The hosts was very nice, servers super nice and on the refills. The good is unique, quality and mix of regions. Will be back! Clean, and decor is up to date.

Burgers are fresh, flavorful and paired nicely with the tots. Large fans in dining area made it hard to hear conversation happening at our table. It could be this isn’t normal and something was broken. It also was pretty dark at noon when I was there.

We had a party of 21 and the wait staff was excellent! The food was delivered to all 21 of us nearly simultaneously and was delicious. Thank you so much for the memorable evening!

Food was great, service was great, overall it was great! Came in for dinner to eat and watch some football (and whatever else was on the many TVs). Lots of options to eat and everything clearly marked as vegetarian — really appreciate this. Splurge on the 75¢ for Cajun spices on your tater tots — it’s worth it!!

Absolutely delicious! We started with the goat cheese which we wanted to lick the plate clean. I had the steak salad and my husband had the Nashville hot chicken, both were sooooo good! The bacon vinaigrette was DELICIOUS! My only complaint was that we were charged $2.50 for additional bread for our goat cheese. (we had a ton left from the first loaf and were not told additional bread would cost)

I highly recommend this place. Laid back. Family friendly side. Pub side. Great food. I had the peanut butter burger with side of mac n cheese. The mac had CUBES of bacon in it! Great tots too.

Every time we go there (1x a month maybe) we walk out satisfied and ask ourselves why we don't go more often. Service is always good and the quality of the food is wonderful. They always have something new or different on the menu. Plus they have a great bar and always surprise with a new twist on a beverage.
