The Buffalo Bar

I had a mushroom Swiss burger to go the other day that was good and came back to eat my food fresh! I had Buffalo balls and my husband got the Buffalo meatloaf. The gravy and mushrooms were delicious. My husband liked his Buffalo meatloaf. We went on a Friday night around 8:30-9 and were sat about 10 minutes after we arrived at the bar. The food arrived in a decent amount of time. There are tons of stuffed Buffalo heads and two full sized Buffalo as decoration. There are even slot machines in the corner we saw people using them the whole time we were there. There are a few more things I would like to try so we may have to return before we leave on Tuesday.

We had dinner here tonight. I ordered the ground Buffalo burrito and it was good. My wife ordered the old faithful which was a cheese steak made with pot roast and it was very very delicious and I would highly recommend that. We also got an order of the Buffalo queso to go which was really good. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was good. They have a large bar selection as well. I would definitely go back again for another meal if we were staying longer.

One of the few places in town open on a Sunday afternoon in the early springtime so that’s a huge plus. The atmosphere is very nice with lots of critters around. They have a good selection of spirits and a lot of modern gambling machines. The menu had lots of options to chose from that are more akin to restaurant food than bar food. I ordered the Buffalo meatloaf with a side salad, and it was alright; nothing was quite seasoned right or at all including the gravy and bread. All around it was a good experience, and I would come back next time I’m in town. 🦬 🍺

Sports bar ambiance with good food. We arrived at 5:30 on a winter Saturday. This was fortunate since by 6:30 there was a line to get in. So if you go, go early. We had the buffalo balls which show up as an appetizer but was plenty of food for me. The ‘well drink’ Manhattan was excellent. Decent beer selection. This is a great choice for West Yellowstone.

The drinks were great. We ordered 3 bison burgers and got one bison and 2 beef. Ordered medium rare and all of them were well done. The bison was so well done that is tasted like jerky. I did not eat a single bite of my burger (that wasn’t the bison I ordered) but they charged me anyway. WORST place EVER!!!! And the service was sloooow. Our waitress told the manager and he never came over to make it right…in fact he avoided our table entirely. I hope the $16 they charged for my uneaten burger was worth it. Live and learn.

Loved this place! Came here for a late lunch and were very impressed. Service was great and food was even better! The Buffalo queso dip and burgers were off the charts. We will be back every time we visit West Yellowstone and bring as many people as we can. We would highly recommend this restaurant/bar to anyone who asks!
