My first time to Collins Tavern yesterday with good friends was a great time. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was phenomenal inside the tavern everyone very very friendly. I will be going back that is a definite and highly recommend.

If your looking for a no frills watering hole, you found the right place. Great decor throughout a pool table to add to you options of talking and watching. They serve food as well as drink. Both are reasoably priced and very good. Lunch too!

My brother and I had tried to go to Collins several times before. From the street view it appears that although there's people inside after a certain time of night they lock the doors. However it was after catching someone coming out of a back door and asking him about it he said you always use the rear entrance by the parking lot and you even have to pull the door handle in a certain way to open it giving it a speakeasy kind of vibe to it. The interior is decked out with all the classic New England sports memorabilia, plenty of seating a level pool table and most importantly the drinks were beyond reasonably priced. I think we got there around 10:00 or so got instant bar service played a couple of games of pool, and by the time we were leaving after a couple of beers each our tab was like 8 bucks! Great dive spot highly recommend it.
I like that they're doing music now and they have an outdoor tent set up the food is good the prices are great the only thing that I would comment negative about is they do not separate people smoking from the rest of the crowd especially since they serve food and you're eating and you have people sitting at table smoking cigarettes not a great mix. I almost left because of it had a few friends that did. I would suggest putting maybe a table in a corner outside away from the crowd for a smoking area. Felt bad for my friends singing there's a table full of smokers not far from the stage literally blowing smoke in their area was very bothersome.
Great atmosphere, a local favorite! I haven't had it, but noticed the food is inexpensive - I'll have to go back to try it sometime soon. They have an excellent selection of local craft beer at a very reasonable price! Taking away one star because they are cash only, this would probably be a more regular place for me if they started taking cards or offered an ATM on site.
