The Trailside

We always go here, including takeout. The outside dining area is very nice. This restaurant is right on the river and railroad tracks. It is very nice, has a bar inside with tables in and outside. The food is great here and they have lots of items named for towns in the area. I love the wings and chicken sandwhich, also great appetizers.

Great spot to stop for lunch on our recent GAP and C/O bike ride. The staff was friendly and accommodating for our large group. Bonus—there is a bike shop located underneath the outdoor patio, which also provided fast and efficient service to a few of our riders needing tubes, tires, and adjustments.

Apparently these folks are doing fine and dont even need 25% capacity to keep them happy. Stopped here with my husband and son for dinner and was told we would have to wait for a table which I totally understand. How ever there was a table outside on the deck that was empty so we asked if we could sit there. We were told that it was for a larger party. (It had 6 chairs) we asked if it was already reserved? She said no.. basically turned down buisness gambling for that bigger party. You would think in these times they would be happy to have any amount of customers. Well I gaurentee you I won't ever give them a shot at my buisness again. I hope the manager reads this and gives that woman a math lesson. 3 customers are better than no customers.
