Great appetizer options and their bulgogi is delicious. All meals come with free soup. The food came very fast and the waiters were nice. We will be back to Kibu Cafe very soon and very often.
Very delicious food. I definitely would go back!
This is place is fantastic.. This is the best and most authentic Korean food I have had outside of Korea. Miles better than anything I've had in Manhattan. Basically, what they serve here is what most Koreans eat on a daily basis. The ingredients, spices, and seasonings are all perfect and the portion sizes are generous -- which is good, because it's a little pricey. The menu is on the wall with nice big pictures, so those unfamiliar with Korean food can order without fear of the unknown. They also have no problem accommodating vegetarians (except unfortunately the jajangmyeon sauce is pre-made with ground pork... again, just like in Korea).
I know I'm gushing, but this place is worth it. I guess if there's anything to criticize it's that they lack the popular Korean barbecue and the ambience isn't much, but actually, most restaurants in Korea have ho-hum design. So if you've never had Korean food before, this is absolutely the first place I would recommend going. Eat here and you can brag to your friends in New York you've had better Korean than them.
This place was alright. I was slightly disappointed with the rice cakes in spicy sauce. My wife and i felt that the sauce was too watery. The spicy pork wad really good. We also got the spicy noodle soup with squid and mussels which was good as well. The food was spicy, but not too overwhelming.
I'll never forget this restaurant. One of the best Korean restaurants at Purdue. I appreciate it that you serve for Purdue students for 13 years. We had great memory here. Thank you!
Kibu is the best and cheapest Korean restaurant in the town. I'll never forget its No.18 Kimchi Chigae. As the food is getting more and more expensive around the campus, Kibu is one of the few options left that provide excellent food in low price. Thanks for your 13 years service!
Great little place! It’s kinda hidden from the road but the food is excellent! It’s a family owned business and I love how friendly the staff was
I really enjoy Kibu Cafe. It unquestionably caters to the local Asian student population. On weekends in particular, when the dorm cafeterias close, you won't hear a lot of English in the dining room... interestingly, there's a lot more Mandarin than Korean, but still.
You order at the window, and they bring the food out. Water and soup are both free and self-serve, which is a nice touch. You're encouraged to put away your own dishes.
The food quality is decent and plentiful. The staff is consistently friendly. We lean toward the spicy end of the menu. With kimchi soup, spicy squid and spicy pork, the menu gives plenty of choices. All in all, well worth a spot on the "Where would you like to eat tonight?" list, even if you're *not* an Asian Purdue student.
Price is reasonable. Nice soup (free) for appetizer. Nice variety of Korean food. Taste is not exceptional but not bad as well. After you finish, you have to put your dishes away yourself.
Best Korean and Japanese food around town, and maybe even the state. Definitely the best I've had in a really long time. Food was delectable and there was free soup and water with purchase. The servers were very friendly, and the food came quickly. I would rate this restaurant ten out of five stars. And would recommend for any occasion.
They have the cheapest korean food in the area (as far as I know). The food is okay. They have a self service station for water and soup. Place is usually not so busy most of the time since it is secluded. Definitely would come back if I want a korean food.
