I’ve been to my share of Chinese restaurants throughout Utah and beyond, and I have to say Red Lantern is one of the better places. My family and I have visited and ate at the establishment, we’ve order pick up and delivery. There hasn’t been a bad experience, inside is really clean, awesome service. When ordering pick up they were extremely fast and did not have to wait extremely long. Delivery was awesome, prompt, and the food was still hot. The food is great, fresh and flavorful. If you are hungry afterwards that’s your fault. My family and I will recommend this place, and already have to a number of people, we will be returning. *Update* Sadly this place has closed, I believe the owners retired. Looks to become a future Quick Quack car wash.

When you are craving great Chinese try this place. I like the environment when you eat in. It is spacious and no feeling like you are on top of one another. They even seem to space you away from others when they can. Food is great and portions are huge. Always made fresh and really hot. They seat you quickly and are very attentive.

So good! Love the egg rolls, chow mein and walnut shrimp! Son had traditional sweet and sour chicken and steamed veggies. Everything we had was really tasty. The staff is very friendly and kind. A gift of a giant fortune cookies made my sons day! So thank you for being so kind to him. We recently moved to the area and will be returning and enjoying lots of take out!

Went for a birthday lunch. Food was hot, fresh & tasty. Service was good & very friendly. Music station was awful & loud for the setting but they turned it down when asked. Price is very reasonable for the large portions. We'd come again.

The place is very nice and authentic visually. And the food was good albeit ham fried rice. I would come back here. Generous portions. I ate twice from 1 $8 meal. The ham fried rice was even sticky enough to eat with chopsticks.

If you want "American version Chinese" this is the place to go. While I prefer more authentic, most of my friends and family won't eat that. This place made them very happy, and I didn't mind it either. It is also nice because they have a nice interior to the building, and deliver as well. It is the place my family will probably go when they don't want Village Inn.

I loved this place! The food was definitely really good but the service was beyond awesome! The owner is very friendly and will come talk to you and see how you are doing throughout the meal. I love their giant fortune cookies too! Haha .

Great value for a family. We choose this place regularly for Chinese food. There may be better Chinese food elsewhere but I haven't really felt enough of a reason to stray. Booths are clean and comfortable. Staff is very kind.

Best egg rolls and plum sauce anywhere, period. My family has been dining here for many, many years. Thirty+ years ago they were called New China and were our favorite family restaurant. After closing down around 15 years ago and going through a few owners, they reopened as Red Lantern run by the son of the original New China owners and using the same amazing recipes. My only disappointment and the one reason that keeps this review from being Five Stars is that their prices have increased so much the last couple years, almost as if the loyal customers are being punished for whatever business the restaurant isn't generating.

I was nervous to eat at this restaurant after seeing so many negative reviews, but a family member picked the Red Lantern for a large family dinner so we went. I was pleasantly surprised with both the service and quality of the food. We were seated quickly and the server kept track of all the orders. The food came out quickly and everything was hot and seemed very fresh. With such a large group, we ordered a large variety of dishes off the menu and everyone was happy with their food (except for a couple of young, and very picky children). Portion sizes were good and my husband and sisters liked the ham fried rice.
