Review El Coco Loco West Chicago Il - West Chicago

We came in over the weekend. It was very busy due to a community event, and it took a long time for our food to come. When it finally did, we all enjoyed it very much. The waitress was very apologetic about the service, which we understood. The food was authentic and the portions were decent. I had two tacos with a side of rice, which was under $10. We will definitely come back if we are in the area.

Staff was very friendly and the ambience was wonderful. Most of there food is amazing, though the steak burrito i had was missing a bit on the flavor. My favorite of there's are the El pastor tacos with pineapple which are super delicious. Also the red sauce they serve with chips is crazy good. Definitely will go back.

I love this place i’ve been going here for years i love it. The servers are amazing( Yolanda is my favorite she’s so nice i love her) and the food is great.

This place great food and has a family like atmosphere. It's $1.50 tacos on Thursdays and reduced prices on burrito Wednesday. If you like guacamole I recommend trying theirs.

Tacos could have been seasoned a little more. Overall solid 4 stars. Salsa was very tasty it helped when added to the tacos. Rice was excellent

First time here. It was 98° and humid & the place was extremely busy. Our server was quick, friendly, and helpful. I had the tostado dinner which wss outstanding. My w guests said thier dinners were great also. Very happy withmy experience we will return.

Worst service! Waited forever for a server, waited forever for our drinks and asked three times for more salsa and chips which didn't come till our meals were almost finished. Food was good. Atmosphere good except for the loud cars and motorcycles on that corner.

Amazing food, excellent service, awesome drinks. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go.

A friend had recommended coming for $1.50 tacos on Thursdays. I wasn't expecting huge tacos and they were pretty decent for the price but they were so small,not filled very much. I love tacos and I'm always down to try new places so I was a little disappointed. I will give them One more try, everything is worth a second chance for the most part lol.

Delicious food at a decent price. I got the steak quesadilla meal and it was AMAZING!!

We enjoyed our dinners outdoors on the patio. Our Cinco de Mayo Combo plates tasted great.

We just ordered to go. We got 2 orders of empanadas and they are so soaked wirh grease they are inedible. Order of enchaladas was blah, kids like the rice and beans. Bit not worth the money to eat there.

The steak burrito was huge but not very tasty. Never had sour cream on it like we asked for. We had to get a side of it. Dinner came out 2 minutes after we ordered it. Just a little to quick for that. Got a really bad upset stomach after eating there.

Good food. We had 1800 tequila margaritas, 2 pitchers, 4 people. Very good.

As I work near there, it's my go to for excellent Mexican fare. Ifyou're lucky, the buffet will be something special. The chef can cook. The beer is cold and cheap and the margarita's are delicious. Service is always great. Enjoy.

Would not recommend. This place used to be good. The food in generally is ok. Portion sizes are good but the service is way too slow and our complaints went unattended. What should have been an hour long meal turned into 2 hours.

Very good authentic Mexican food. Didn't have problems with service that others have mentioned, but I haven't been there when it is crowded.

Had to wait a long time for service. They didn't seem that busy. Service was friendly. Atmosphere was fun. We got tacos and burrito plates, there was more than we could eat. The chips and salsa were good. The prices were a bit high for lunch. Parking was ok. Would go again to try the lunch buffet next time.

Great place right off the bike trail in West Chicago to stop at for a bite and a beverage!

Very good food, tacos and more... you don’t need to be Mexican

Alan and I eat there almost every week. Yes half price Margarita' and $1.50 tacos are just part of it. The owner uses family recipes. We particularly like the queso fundido and the mild salsa.

Beautiful patio for outdoor dining! Really enjoy going on Thursday for 1/2 price Margaritas and $1.50 Taco Special. YUUUM!

First time here. Great food. Will be back. Cute restaurant with some outdoor seating. Can't wait till it's warm to eat outside

My husbands always asks for his favorite dish so much that he is never asked :)) carne as ada with chihuahua cheese yummy
