Review China Family Restaurant - West Berlin

The food is really good. I’d recommend their fried rice (any type), lo mein, orange chicken or beef, general tso’s, fried dumplings, and wontons in spicy sesame sauce (not spicy at all, think of it being similar to Thai chili sauce). It is the best Chinese food I’ve had in this area. (Outside of Philly) and I’ve gotten food over the years from the surrounding Chinese places (6 of them within a 5 mile radius). The prices are good (typical, depending on what you get and the size) and they always give large generous portions. It’s pretty greasy, though that should kind of be expected, but it has good flavor and wok hei (from the high heat that's used to cook). There’s a slight language barrier, and sometimes the owners can be rude over the phone or in person, but that doesn’t matter to me. I always do pick up so I can't speak for their delivery, but the food is always ready in 10-15 minutes. This has been our go to place for Chinese take out for the past 3 years, we use to always see it but never stopped because there are so many take out places nearby and some are alright and some really aren’t. But I’m glad we did randomly stop one day and try it. In my experience, it never disappoints.

I’ve never order from here before. I just moved here and I wanted some chinese food. This was the closest I could find and they first said they didn’t do delivery. I said okay, pickup was fine. But then the lady over the phone kept rushing me to order and kept cutting me off while I was trying to order food. She then hung up. Horrible experience over the phone. I will not be picking up the food. 👎🏽

Ordered a combination..only received spare ribs. When called they acted like they didn't understand and that I was crazy. Paid for food I never received. What I did get was terrible! Never again

Save your money & time, don’t order from here I Ordered food from here. Took the order, never delivered. I call them after waiting an extra hour and they closed for the day. This has been one of several bad experiences. You’ve lost a customer for good.

Horrible experience. We had ordered food from here and we're told that we would get a General Two's chicken for free since our order was more than $25 (our order easy for approximately $49). When we get to the restaurant to pick up the food, we're told that the offer is for cash only. The General Tso was already made and placed in the large box with the rest of our order. We told them that it was not mentioned that the deal was for cash only and that we have been customers for a while and that we actually drive 30 minutes to get their food since we enjoy it. While my husband was saying this, the man at the counter who I believe is owner, turned his head to the side and snickered while he took it out of the box with the rest of put food. Next thing you know, and I am NOT exaggerating, he takes the General Tso and THROWS it onto the counter and says to leave. I would give them ZERO stars, if I could. Never have we been treated that way. We are just one customer, but they lost us that day.

Love this place. GREAT FOOD. SUPER FAST DELIVERY!!! Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Definitely recommend this place.

We just ordered Pork with Garlic sauce and Shrimp Egg foo young. I must say its the best I ever had. The Egg foo young was loaded with shrimp and it was absolutely delicious.

When order pickup the credit card machine or the employee using it malfunctions but the customer has already left. Following them to their house and yelling at them demanding the 12 dollars in cash is the last thing you should do especially when said customer visits 2-3 times a month. Instead you got a bag of food thrown at you and lost a regular customer. Was the 12 dollars worth it?
