Originally I was going to give them one cause they had The customer service is amazing depending on who you have as your server. I got steak and it was good but had a lot of gristle. I guess you might argue it was a $38 steak and not a $56 one of a high end restaurant! Maybe! Or that I had a bad luck of getting a bad piece but I won’t be going back! It was too greasy and too much gristle for me to want to try it again. I gave overall 3 though mostly for the waitress I had. She was a 5/5.

Upon arriving, we were promptly seated. I had the biscuits and gravy which had just the right amount of light sage seasoning throughout, alsogenerous chunks of sausage in every single bite as well! The other person in my party have two eggs with bacon and toast and said they were some of the best eggs that they had. (It was my mother She's 65 plus and very picky so that's pretty good 🤷😁)

French Toast with eggs and potatoes. French toast was flavorful but tough and overcooked. 2 over medium eggs came out with one yolk cooked hard. Potatoes were the best part of the meal. Cute place, going to try it again and see if this was just a one off on there cooking.

The only thing here that gets the 5 stars however is the food. This place has so much potential although when we arrive a little after 7 and get told we have to order in 5 minutes it is a shame. They were then out of soup. Proceeded to give us our check while eating, try to clear our plates half way through eating them, forced us to pay the bill. Then started shutting off lights while we were still finishing our food. Not sure if owner knows how his employees are treating customers... oh and this all happened prior to their 8 pm closing time (out at 7:54)

A small intimate setting, not very busy at all. Food was nothing special overall. But the biscuits and gravy were exceptional. First glance it looked like a darker, runnier gravy, but when we bit into it the flavors were amazing. Perfect biscuits and the hunter style gravy made the forgettable main dishes a distant memory.

In the past I had eaten in this place and wasn't pleased but the new owners have put some thought & new changes in place that made my brunch enjoyable. There was soft jazz music playing, the cooks seemed to enjoy their work, and the waitress was friendly & lively. The food had good visual presentation, and flavors, portions were nice & hot. I will gladly recommend this restaurant and return myself.
