The wait for The Roost to open was worth it! What a great addition to Wellsboro for a place to meet with friends for a meal or a beverage. The food, ambiance and friendly staff all came together perfectly. Clearly, a lot of thought and planning went into this new community hot spot.
Loved this place! Will definitely be back! The atmosphere was great. Service was friendly and inviting. Had the roosterato burger (bacon cheese burger) it was AMAZING! Best burger I’ve ever had! The tator tots were good too(and I’m not fond of tots but I ate them all) yum! Tried several of their cocktails and they were lovely! The grapefruit infused one was my favorite!
Great local beer & tasty fried cheese curd. We enjoyed the decor & all around style of the pub/cafe. Thanks to the friendly staff for an enjoyable experience! Cheers our new favorite place in Wellsboro.
Top notch. Atmosphere is amazing, food was great, reasonably priced and staff extremely friendly. I can't say enough good things about The Roost. Killer beer selection too...:)
We had dinner on opening night. Excellent food and beer at very reasonable prices. We’re eager to go for coffee and tea. They serve real, loose leaf tea. If you’re a tea person, you’ll appreciate how great that is. It’s also a great looking place. We plan to go here a lot.
This place is amazing! Locally sources food, craft cocktails and beautiful atmosphere! The bartender we had was great! Can't say enough good about this place!!
The roost is the absolute best restaurant/bar in the area! The service is excellent and the cocktails are the best I have ever had. Absolutely love it here
Great place! We go to a cabin near by two or three times per year. We had lunch at the Roost on Friday, and brought friends back on Sat. The service was excellent, the food was good, the beer list is excellent. They are still working some kinks out of the kitchen, but based on the attitude of the owners I am sure the next time we are up in the area the food will be excellent as well. We will be back.

We had the most amazing meal a few weeks back. We will be making a trip in when we come home next time. Loved it. The remodel is fabulous ���!!! Our server Christopher is the best.

This is a beautiful spot in Wellsboro. The details that they have put attention to in remodeling alone are amazing. The food was delicious and served very quickly. The service was excellent and the drinks were great. We had a wonderful evening and can't wait to go back!
The Roost is fantastic. The food was great, drinks and service were awesome and friendly. If I could, I would be spending every creative moment there. Whether you live in Wellsboro or are just visiting, the Roost is a place you'll want to come into again and again.

Stopped in walking the streets of Wellsboro for some lunch. Great little place the atomospher is very unique. We started with an old fashion and Watermelon Shandy. We ordered garlic dill cheese curds as an appetizer very delicious the breading taste like funnel cake! We had the pork Mac and cheese that was very excellent and the spicy shrimp tacos. We joined another table of friends they really enjoyed their taco salads and burger. This place is definitely worth the stop!
Not a place you find out in rural PA. The interior is wonderful to look at and overall atosphere very nice. We had excellent service and tasty food even though the place was packed at 2pm on a Saturday. Highly recommend
First time here. Stopped to grab a quick lunch before leaving Wellsboro. Thursday at lunchtime few people here so service was very quick. Burgers were fantastic. Very cool decorations! Unique laid back industrial atmosphere throughout and LOTS of drinks to choose from.

Awesome stop for coffee, drinks, great beer list , and food menu. Bartender was exceptional and attentive. Owner took a minute to check in and make sure all was well and gave us some interesting info about how most of the decor was reclaimed from the building basement and a family home in the area. What started as a rainy day stop - turned into a commitment to return to the area again!
Amazing collection of beers. I loved the Mango cart ale. Food is super tasty. I recommend Shrimp skewers and Molases wings. The place has a unique decoration theme.
Excellent cheese steak and good burgers! Samurai tots are huge and can be a meal in itself. Service is great too. We could tell the place gets super busy cause it’s a one of a kind in this are. They don’t take to go orders via phone after 4 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, but we came in to request a takeout and they were kind to accommodate that. Would come back!
Awesome atmosphere! Rustic meets industrial. I had a an Ameriana coffee, Chicken Sammie with tots. Loves the butter drizzle on the tots! Delicious! Server was friendly and responsive. Bathrooms were clean and decorated as well.
