My family & I had a delicious pre-Christmas dinner last night & it was truly one of the best meals we have ever had. Great food & service. We are lucky to have Glass Onion in our town.

A very nice restaurant with a refreshing variety of entrees for every palate abd dietary need. The pear and beet salad was filled with flavors and enough to share. The shrimp and sausage with angel hair pasta was also fresh, flavorful and perfectly cooked. We had to end the night with dessert and chose the triple chocolate cake.
The service was fantastic; refilling drinks without needing to ask or be asked, clearing plates at just the right time for our party of 8. All in all, a wonderful evening and meal.

We had the best dinner here!! We sat at the bar and were waited on by an older gentleman who was so kind, present and attentive. Best calamari I’ve ever had and the homemade marinara is 5 stars. My husband ordered the pumpkin ravioli and I ordered the rigatoni bolognese - both were PHENOMENAL. We already can’t wait to visit Asheville again just to come back for another meal.

Absolutely fantastic Italian food. We have been here many times and we are never disappointed. Even their vegetarian food is amazing. My daughter had the pumpkin ravioli and it was honestly the best pasta and sauce I can remember ever tasting. Their truffle fries are also to die for. In the past we have had had their scallops and they are always amazing. Tonight my son and I both had the ribeye with Gorgonzola. The steak was great but the Gorgonzola seemed to overpower the dish. The fried potatoes that came with it were perfect. The garlic bread is by far the most luxurious and decadent garlic bread you will ever eat. Definitely worth ordering more! Only bad thing I can say about this restaurant is that they have this weird policy where you can’t order appetizers while you are waiting to order your entrees!!

Very unique menu. Excellent choices. And the dessert was amazing, made on site. A definite must.

My husband and I recently dined here during our Fall vacation to Asheville. Food, ambience, and service were excellent. We both had the lasagna, which was the special that night, and a cup of seafood chowder. Both were very good and the lasagna the best we’ve ever had. The restaurant is close enough to Asheville that it’s worth the 15 min trip, particularly since the restaurants in downtown Asheville are usually packed during the Fall.

My wife and I were in the Asheville area this past weekend and The Glass Onion was easily the best place we had eaten at! My wife had the seafood cannelloni and I had the Bolognese. She enjoyed the garlic bread and her peach salad and my bolognese was absolutely fantastic! We definitely will be back the next time we are in town!

We have dined a few times before at the Glass Onion. It is consistently great food. On this visit the Pear and Beet Salad was excellent. The Diver Scallops over a tasty Polenta was excellent. The Bolognese over angel hair pasta was hearty and delicious. Consistently great dining venue.

Great evening with friends. Nice wine list, good service and elegant dishes. We come every year and it's a must.

Excellent across the board. Gazpacho was delicious as was the salad and Milanesa. Our server was great, as was the atmosphere. We had kind of forgotten this place but glad we’re back.
