The Mustard Seed Cafe

We got married on 7/15/23 and hired The Mustard Seed Cafe as our caterer. We were lucky enough to work alongside Sally and Laurie. They were both so kind and made sure everything was perfect during our wedding day. There were also wonderful to work with and communicate with throughout the planning process. Everything was absolutely delicious and our guests were going on and on about how incredible the food was. For appetizers, we had the arancini balls, teriyaki meatballs, zucchini fritters, and chicken caesar crostinis. We also had a cheese and charcuterie station. We had a plated garden salad and one of our groomsmen was going crazy for the house made dressing. For dinner, we offered a buffet and had dinner rolls, chicken franchise, beef roulades, eggplant rollatini, seasonal vegetables, and roasted rosemary baby potatoes. I'm still drooling over the food, which as the bride and groom we made it a point to sit down and eat because of how delicious it was! The servers and kitchen staff also served, cleared, and rinsed all of the dishes and flatware as well, which was so thoughtful and helpful. Thank you again for being such an important part of our wedding weekend! The Mustard Seed Cafe will always have a special place in our heart!

We love the Mustard Seed! We had a small backyard wedding and wanted to provide breakfast for our eight guests the next morning. We contacted the Mustard Seed to coordinate a catered brunch, and it was DELICIOUS. The stars of the show were the blueberry French toast casserole and the quiche. We had plenty of food, and everyone went home with leftovers. Communication was easy and pickup went smoothly. Highly recommend!

So cute and cozy inside. Only 6 tables so be prepared to wait a bit. A very whimsical decor adds to your overall experience. Friendly staff. Our meals were delicious. I had one of their specials...tortillas stuffed w kale, beans and corn. So good. The outside is deceiving until you walk in. Give it a go. I'm going back and taking 2 more friends.

I selfishly want to keep this cafe a secret, but they deserve promotion and credit. Mustard seed is in the quiet small town of Waymart. We drive over an hour round trip every weekend to eat here. We love that the food is wholesome, and farm to table quality ingredients. Everyone we bring with us loves this place. We thank you for this business.

Definition of hidden gem. This cafe is tucked away on a mild mannered street in Waymart. The inside of the cafe is decorated really cutely and they have all kinds of unique brunch, breakfast, lunch, and dessert items. I have to give a particular shout out to their berry creme brulee oatmeal because I'm a big oatmeal fan and it's not often it tastes this amazing at restaurants. Coffee was really good and even though we were seated tucked away in the other room (which we enjoyed!) The waitress never forgot about us and kept our mugs filled. Really lovely spot with excellent menu, taste, and lovely staff.

This place has such amazing food, loacal and fresh options. The interior is small and charming in the front but they have a back room for more space. If you would like you can sit outside on the porch and enjoy the weather if its nice out. I would definitely recommend going if you like healthy food and enjoy a beautiful little restaurant.
