Their burgers are delicious! Fresh and made to order. You must try the box car fries! These are no ordinary fries. Wide and thick potato spirals, coated and fried. There's nothing like them. Quality, delicious food and super nice people. Great for lunch or dinner. And unique cheese cake creations.

My wife and I stopped here for lunch today. It was right at noon and I was afraid we were going to be a while getting our food. Orders were being taken at the counter and most tables were filled with customers. After only a few minutes in line we ordered and found a table and fixed our drinks. M

Have been wanting to try this place for a little while now, based on good reviews online and from friends. It was ok. I give an extra star for the fact that all work was done by only 2 people, due to being short staffed. They truly did an amazing job getting out as many meals as they did.

I had a great night at this place. The environment is very friendly and for a Wednesday night it was pretty busy. The burger was fresh, thick, and juicy and the price was reasonable. The 15 minutes drive from Athens was definitely worth it!

I don't come to Athens often, but when I do if I have time I try to eat at the Traveling Hobo. I usually get the fish or seafood plate with a side of fried pickles. The shrimp are great as is the fried cod.
