We went on the Sightseeing Cruise 10/18/23. It was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and professional. Boat was comfortable. We sat up on top. It was a little cold but not too bad. They had a heated area down under with restrooms on board. While on the boat the offered a lot of good information about the area. Beautiful views of the lake. I loved it. Glad they were open this late in October. Highly recommended.
My wife and I went on the Saturday night Endless Summer Dinner Cruise. Highly recommend it!
The service was great, food excellent, and the whole evening was awesome.
Ken Campbell was our entertainment for the evening. Acoustic guitar with a well orchestrated Looper tracks. I think he had everyone up dancing at least once.
While the prime rib had its typical fat, it was acceptable and the meat itself was super tender! Seating was against the sides of the boat, so really nice seating and natural light.
Try and request seating on the starboard side of the boat which gave the best views during the daylight hours
The highlight of course were the shores of beautiful Seneca Lake. Lovely homes, breathtaking scenery along the banks and into the hills.
The breeze was cool on the forward deck. Very romantic during sunset and under a brilliant night sky.
Nestled by the charming Finger Lake, the boat rides are a must-try, catering to various budgets. Our choice was the captivating Captain Bill's Sunset Cruise, spanning 1.5 hours and priced at $44 per person. The Captain and cruise guide were exceptional, demonstrating utmost professionalism and friendliness. Tipping is appreciated by the staff. Abundant free parking is available. We captured numerous photos to remember the experience, and our day concluded splendidly with a delightful dinner at the Lake View Seneca Harbour Wine Center.
Please note that the Sunset cruise commences at 7 pm. We acquired our tickets upon arriving at around 6.35 pm from their office.
We took a late morning hour long cruise out of Watkins Glen on one of Captain Bill's vessels. It was a (2) story boat. We sat on the top (open air) as the weather was great.
There were no refreshments offered, but we packed a beverage. The tour did have some narration about the lake (depth, temps, how it was created etc.). They also touched on industry such as the salt mines. We floated for a minute or so, to view Hector Falls in the distance. We also passed some old trails and a painted wall dating back some time ago, with historic references to the Seneca Indians.
The hour went by pretty quick. For the price per person the value was there. Something worth doing if in the area. Tickets available online or in person inside of the giftshop. Tips were requested, but not pressured to provide (basket on the way off the boat). The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
Captain Bill's Seneca Boat Ride was an exceptional experience! From the moment we stepped aboard, the crew made us feel welcome and comfortable. The boat itself was clean and well-maintained, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable ride on Seneca Lake.
The scenic views were breathtaking, with the captain providing insightful commentary about the surrounding area and its history. We learned so much while taking in the beauty of the lake and its surroundings.
Additionally, the crew's hospitality was top-notch. They were attentive to all our needs, and their enthusiasm added to the overall enjoyment of the experience.
Whether you're a local or a tourist, I highly recommend Captain Bill's Seneca Boat Ride. It's a memorable way to explore the stunning Finger Lakes region and create lasting memories with loved ones. A definite must-do!
I was in a party of six and we had a two hour lunch cruise on the Seneca Legacy. Their food was excellent and the cruise was great. Captain Greg U. (I think that was his name) was very informative. He was right there and answered all of my many questions, and then some. We sailed up the west side for an hour, turned east and sailed down the east side until we returned to port. We will likely do it again on a future trip.
Did a beautiful morning cruise of the lake. It was only an hour and I wish it had been longer, but the longer dinner cruise was all booked up. The boat is comfortable and the staff members were knowledgeable and very nice. It was a good way to see part of the lake from the water.
We had a great experience. The view is amazing from upper deck. We did 1 hour sightseeing tour and we enjoyed it. They allowed you to carry drinks with you which is great. I would suggest if you are visiting in summer try to do evening cruise because upper deck gets hot. They also have AC main deck but it’s not worth to sit down.
We did 5:30-6:00 pm and it was sunny for first 15 minute but then it was amazing. I think this is the great way to enioy the beautiful view of lake Seneca.
We were group of 4 adult and 3 kids and had a great experience. They have upper deck which is open and lower deck which is close and AC. We did 1 hour sightseeing tour and we enjoyed it. They allowed you to carry drinks with you which is great. They also allowed stroller with us. On tour they would keep updating places around you. Definitely worth doing if you around the areas to know history and to explore lake.
Your sunset cruise last evening did not disappoint. Great job. Thank you for being dog friendly. We will see you again. Here are some pictures of our adventure.
A beautiful day! Staff is courteous and attentive, while you sail through history. I just wish it was longer! so fun!
Sunset sightseeing cruise was great! Definitely worth doing this if you are in Watkins Glen!
The dinner cruise is a must when visiting Watkins Glen! Tonight’s cruise marked the fourth time my husband and I have been on the Legacy. Our first cruise was back in 2008. The service and food have always been excellent, we never had a bad experience. The staff are always welcoming and polite, not to mention they always run their tails off to serve their guests! My husband and I both had the prime rib tonight, the flavor and cook of the meat was spot on. Scallops were great as well. Thank you, we will be back next time we are camping in the area.
We took the sunset cruise this weekend and were glad we did. It started out with a light rain for just a few minutes but we were warned before departing and were given the chance for a refund. We still went and were not disappointed. Beautiful views, great narration by Dan on the top level. He was a wealth of information!
We made reservations for a pre celebration of our 1st Wedding Anniversary. Wonderful experience. Friendly and attentive staff. Food was delicious. Beautiful scenery. Highly recommend if you are looking to celebrate a special evening. Would do again for sure!

Had a fantastic time on the Seneca Spirit on Friday 7/29!! Just an all around fantastic experience...Andrew was fantastic ( upper captain)as was our captain Chris ( I think was his name)
They give good lake information while you ride..they welcome you to bring a cooler..snacks..whatever you like...Beautiful views...the boat was lovely...price was excellent...highly highly recommend!!!!
Stunning view of Seneca lake. A bit pricey , the upper deck is where you would want to seat. The main deck has absolutely no views and is waste of money.
Absolutely loved our dinner and cruise. Thanks to previous reviews, we had a great view from the starboard side on lower deck. Our server Cathy, was amazing and funny. The food was as expected based on the reviews; just ok, but not wow; except for that honey butter which is amazing. Ken Campbell did a great job with the music but not much dancing happening. Overall we enjoyed our time aboard.
