We really love their tacos and rice. Nice and friendly service. We drive 20 miles out of our way to stop by. Can be busy at times but the wait is seldom longer than five minutes.

Awesome place!. Love this place and hit it a couple of times a month. The service is great and the margaritas are the best!! While the food isn't "authentic" Mexican, it still is very good and satisfying. I tend to stay away from the big entres and get single items like the beef and cheese enchilada or chicken flauta.

Yummm. El Bee's, in my opinion, is delicious. Yes, it's cheesy (but who doesn't like cheese? And as mentioned below, if you dislike it, ask for less while ordering). And yes, it's Tex-Mex (my sister lives in Houston, where there is some of the most delightful Tex-Mex...but she's nothing but compliments when we go there). Some say over-priced, but if you pay attention to the details they put in, it's worth it. Between take-out and eating in, we usually go once every two weeks. The waitresses are ALWAYS friendly, and it's ALWAYS super quick. For food, my faves are the Chili Releno, the Tamale Boat, Chicken Chimichaga, tacos, bean dip, and those delightful flour chips. The maragritas are sooo good, and you'll for sure feel them after only one. :-)
In a response to a previous review: They do give free refills on chips. Just ask. Also, this restuarant is in Waterloo, not Wahoo. Maybe you weren't even in the right place? :-) And just so there's no accusing, I am no relation to the owners. :-)
Just as good as the other location. Awesome place. Just wish I could get a menu as a souvenir someday!
My name is steve. I'm one of the sons of the owner of this establishment. Now if your going to write a review good or bad I suggest you get your facts straight. The salsa and chips cost 5.50 not 5.99 and is made by hand every single day. Now with growing business and faster times we had to forgo chopping the tomatoes by hand to getting pee-chopped tomatoes but we cut everything else by hand. And you say it's not real Mexican, well your right but we never claimed it to be REAL mexcican. It's a tex Mex that is very lightly seasoned so everyone can enjoy it not just the hardcore spice lovers. I agree it is very cheesy, however like burger king you can have it your way if you ask. There's not much we won't do to make you happy.

Good, Fast, Mexican Food. If you are looking for a place to get good Mexican food out west, El Bees is a good choice. We live in Elkhorn and Waterloo is just a short drive west to go out to eat. If you have been to El Bees in Waterloo before but not recently, be ready to go to the new location. Speaking of the new location, the new El Bees is much, much nicer than the old one. The inside is decorated with paintings and Spanish decor. On to the food. I normally get the chimichanga which is awesome and I highly recommend it! Almost anything you order will come out about 5 minutes after you order it, even on a week night. The margaritas in my opinion are just ok. They come in a fairly small glass and are very heavy on the Tequila. One of the best things to try are the sopapillas! They are warm, flaky and very tasty! I included a picture from our last visit. Don't miss them. Service was just ok. It seems like the employ a lot of high schoolers there so know that going in. Overall, we enjoy going out to El Bees for a Mexican treat every once in a while. It's very similar to the other El Bees in Omaha so don't expect much difference. If you like one, you will like the other!
Great place in Nebraska to enjoy a great meal...Waterloo location is one we enjoy on each trip to Omaha. Bob and Sheila are the best.

This is our favorite restaurant. Amazing food and the service is great! We go there to celebrate special occasions. Bob the owner is a great guy. You won't be disappointed!

Great food, it was so delicious and the portions were huge I took half of mine home. I ordered 1 enchilada with rice and beans and a taco. So did my daughter and we both couldn't eat it all. Prices seem high at first but then for what you get they are very comparable. Our waitress was the best maybe the best I've ever had anywhere. She was so helpful in explaining the food to us and portions size etc..very enjoyable experience. And this has to be the longest review I have ever done. That's how great it was!!😊🤪
Try the casedilla off the appetizer menu as the main course. It's a larger serving then an enchilada or burrito and is awesome. Ask for extra Ranchero sauce. It's good!
I've been eating here since I was a kid. Food is amazing the waiters are so nice and will completely bend over backwards for you. It's a great environment with afamily feel, but if you're looking for a bar they have one of those too! 3 thumbs up from me. 😂
Americanized Mexican food with good sized portions. Hadn't been there for awhile but was more than satisfied with the food, service and drinks. If you're looking for authentic mexican this may not be your place but it is a excellent place to eat.
