Review Bistro Ete - Water Mill

Went in cautious from the various one stars but I think they maybe a bit exaggerated. Went on a Sunday night and was treated with great care and respect. The food was typical to the profile of French cuisine and the flavors were robust. I greatly enjoyed the braised beef pappardelle but regretted not trying the escargot because that table next to use seemed to really enjoy them.

Ari the proprietor is a warm and welcoming host who will mix you a drink from his excellent cocktail menu. Wonderful service at the bar. Awesome menu and service in the dining room. Great atmosphere and a dining experience. I could eat here several times and always find something new to enjoy.

LI restaurant week gave us a great chance to try this gem of a restaurant. Food was delicious, service was efficient and gracious. We sat at the bar which was a show in and of itself. Drinks super expensive!!

An amazing combination of ingredients in every dish. Never disappointed, service is outstanding and the owner, also the chef, Arie, makes you feel like you’ve known him for ever. My personal favorite is escargot. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!

The best restaurant in the Hamptons, hands down. Just dined at their Greek Easter celebration and it was fantastic. They had a whole roasted lamb that was out of this world. Every course was better than the next. We had such a great time? The staff is top notch and attentive. Spicy Margarita is the cocktail to get!

Literally one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Drinks were out of this world, everything was fresh and local. We even got to meet the owners who were working there. We went back 2 nights in a row it was so good. Def check it out if you are in the area

Delicious duck appetizer with large portions. Steak frites was cooked absolutely perfect with crispy potatoes. Ice cream mint had a very unique flavor to it. All in all, top quality food and a great experience. The chef and wife are both extremely friendly and speak to all the guests. Would visit again.

I'd heard so much about Bistro ete and knew Chef Arie was a talented guy but with the crazy summer we only just made it there this past Saturday. First thing is make sure you arrive before your reservation so you can spend some time at the small but pretty and very comfortable bar with Harold. This man is a magician of a mixologist. BEST FRESH Apple Martini you can imagine - nothing like any Apple Martini you've ever had, he muddled the apples right there. Just delicious. I had a pumpkin/squash soup which was flavored with apple cider and it was nothing like I'd expected it was light, sweet and savory and I wanted to lick out the bowl. My husband had the octopus and raved about it. I won't go thru dish by dish but everything was very good to great and we all enjoyed our meal. Chef Arie and his lovely wife Liz were delightful and the service staff was very professional and friendly. The restaurant got full up just after we sat down and our meal was fairly extended but we had such a great time that nobody was complaining much about a bit of a wait between dishes. When you get sat last minute on a busy Saturday you should expect things to be... well... busy. I would highly suggest everyone make this a special night out. Prices are on the high side, totally worth it but for those with budget concerns there's a prix fixe of $30 per/person at the bar every night - and I think in the restaurant seating during mid-week. Check their hours and specials and make sure you add Bisto été to your list of "must dine" experiences.

stopped by for dinner yesterday and had a fantastic experience. The chef/ owner and his wife were so accommodating to us and our pup with some outside seats. Everything was delicious... from the French onion soup to the acorn squash risotto to the fig and almond tart! We will definitely come back for more!
