Taco Cancun Mexican Grill

I'll start by saying that my husband and I stopped in after reading a negative review on Facebook. I got the shrimp ceviche tostadas with horchata. My husband had the seafood chimichanga with rice and beans and washed it all down with a Mexican Coke. From the salsa bar we had the mild salsa and molcajete salsa. We loved everything about our dining experience. The staff were all extremely respectful and friendly. The atmosphere was wonderful. They weren't as busy on a Sunday afternoon, but still busy enough to have a constant flow of people. The restaurant was clean and tables constantly wiped down as people left. The food was absolutely delicious and full of wonderful flavors, including the rice and beans, we were VERY pleased they weren't bland. The homemade horchata was great and sprinkled with cinnamon as it should be. My husband is quite picky about Mexican food as he spent the better part of 20odd years volunteering his time and building orphanages in Mexico, so he was quite pleased with his food, where he hasn't been as pleased at other local spots. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely worth every penny!!! Wonderful Mexican food that even I can't find fault in. After having spent the better part of 20 years doing construction down in Mexico I can say that I'm very happy to have found this little gem in Alaska of all places. We ordered the seafood chimichanga, and the shrimp ceviche with horchata. The horchata thankfully was exactly like I had hoped. All the flavor, and freshness of the food was spot on. The service was friendly, and very respectful. I will definitely be returning, and highly recommend this taste of Mexico in Alaska.

Been there a few times now, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Absolutely great service. The salsa bar is well stocked with great options. Most recently I got the Mach Burrito. Love the flavor, but the long pieces of shredded beef made it difficult to break down. All of the food is good, but I can't say it's vastly above what I'd expect from this type of restaurant.

Only good thing here is the tacos. 2 stars because they charge for chips and give out one small basket per table. Sometimes I'll get smaller portions then usual for tacos. I'd give a higher rating if they weren't cheap owners. Also kinda high prices. They should consider being more generous with their food instead of saving a penny.

Excellent customer service, wonderful food, clean environment! What's not to love? A locally owned establishment that my family and I plan to frequent often. It's not often anymore that you have managers/owners walking through the dining area and chatting with customers about their experience and that is exactly what I've encountered on both trips. Five stars, highly recommend!
