Today I discovered Cade'sHome Cooking on the square in historic Washington, GA. If you want to enjoy down home food and courteous service, this is the spot to be!!!! Come check them out!
My parents were talking about this place when I went to visit them for the holidays. We ended up going before I left and they had good reason to talk it up. This family owned restaurant sits in the town square making it easy to locate (though I imagine parking could be difficult at times. Cade's serves up great Southern classics such as fried chicken and catfish with various wides and desserts that taste amazing.
If you find yourself in Washington, GA, Cade's is a spot that you have to try. Everything is delicious and the people friendly.
My family and I ate here while driving through the city going on vacation. Wonderful family atmosphere with lots of locals eating and milling about. The food was AMAZING! Best Ive had in years! Southern style home cooking done right. Would absolutley recommend and go back!
The BEST fried chicken I’ve ever had! Everything was delicious- the cream style corn, collards, squash casserole - even the green beans were fantastic! I would definitely eat here again!
The food and the service was far and away the very best.., if I had one complaint, it would be that all the veggies (except the corn) we're seasoned with pork. And of course being in the South you would expect that.
So no real criticism, just a lot of love for Cade's... So much so we brought a large order of Mac 'n cheese back to share at the Church's pot luck dinner. It was well received.
Only thing that tops the food here is the service and friendly folks that provide the food for you. Good food at a fair price and one of the best Arnold Palmer's I've ever drank. Whenever I'm in Washington, GA I will always plan my visit to include eating here, then take a leisurely walk around town and just relax. Life just doesn't get much better than that.
Best "country cooking" buffet I have ever had and I've been to many. We asked a few local shop owners where to eat lunch and they all said Cade's on the square. We arrived prior to opening to find a line already outside. Do your taste buds a favor and eat here!
Called in order for 4 dinners. Food was packed and ready when I picked it up. Got home my family enjoyed the food. Everything was good and fresh. Next time we in town we will be going back. Staff was very polite and courteous. Reasonable priced coming from Atlanta.
