This place has been around for an eternity, and for good reason. They haven't changed much since they opened, and they don't need to. The pizza is a simple, light, tasty, square pizza. The prices are low as well. I hope they're around for another 60 years!!
Simple and Great. Perfect for a square pizza. Sauce is good. Crust is crusty. Extra cheese and pepperoni please. This place is totally a guilty pleasure for us.
Best pizza!!!!. My all time favorite pizza !!! I don't live in Washington but it's so worth the drive !!
Nice, simple pizza. This is a great place to go for great-tasting, classic square pizza. The crust is slightly crispy and the sauce is excellent. They don't have many options as far as toppings go, but it's perfect just the way it is, and it's inexpensive. They have a picnic shelter if you'd like to enjoy it outdoors.
Perfect crust, cheese, and sauce. I could eat the sauce with a spoon!
Best "square"pizza in Pa. For starters I am a bit baffled that my ole buddy Chez has reviewed this place but I realize that the pizza is good enough to attract them all the way from Charleston.
Anyway Osso's has got it down to a great square pizza by the slice that rivals even the legend in Elm Grove. The parmesan cheese incorporated into the concoction of freshly shredded mozz/prov cheese and homemade sauce makes this pizza truley amazing. The line out the door every night speaks for itself. Be sure to get the extra cheese and dont forget to scoop the leftover shreds out of the box before you done. Thats one of the best parts. Also if you travel with it as I do, it warms up great on the grill the next day in about 3 minutes.
The Original Square Pizza of Washington. A great novelty in the city of Washington. It is renowned by locals; however, it is very delicious as well. Reasonably priced and some of the best pizza in Washington. Walk-ins and call-aheads are treated the same.
Square pizza by the slice.. Perhaps Osso's is another local thing like Shorty's. Their pizza and subs are good. The people are friendly. Usually I will order a larger amount ahead of time by phone and then pick it up on my way somewhere. The pizza crust is good, although I prefer the crust from Hill House.
Three slices, extra cheese please!. Osso's Pizza is the kind of food that when you move away from Washington, you crave for years and years. When we visit friends who have moved, we pick up some and take it to them, that's how much of a landmark piece of Washington it is. I had been going there at least ten years before I even realized they had anything else on the menu other than pizza!
The pizza is good, but limited options, pepperoni or no pepperoni. The only seating is outside. VERY friendly!
A Landmark Institution. Don't even think of traveling through, around, or to Washington, PA without stopping at Osso's! It is the best tray-style buy by the square pizza you've ever put in your mouth. Extra cheese and pepperoni, please! My family turns in to hog heads when we mention Osso's! Get some!
Best tray style pizza around. There is a place in Ambridge that some claim invented the 'cookie tray' style of Pizza, but Sam Osso predates them by some 16 years. This place is one of three institutions in Washington, PA.. The other is Shorty's and the third, is of course, the Steelers.
This is a square cut pizza, not Sicilian style, as it has a thin, crispy crust that is airy and light but flavorful. Their sauce is acidic and has a heavy tomato flavor and I believe that they use Mozzarella cheese. Always consistent and delicious. I've tried them all from Bedo's to Sam's and every place in between. Get it with pepperoni.
If it is a Steeler night, expect a line outside of the door.
We had to finish a job up there and I seen the place on the way. We decided to stop by and check it out after work. We got 5 slices of pizza a half of a steak hoagie and a lemonade. It came to about $10! The food was great 👍. I recommend this place to anyone passing thru. I love stopping by and checking out places like this. The staff are great and food was ready quick. Thanks
I grew up eating Osso’s pizza. Joined the military, left home, haven’t been there in 12 years. Driving 9 hours north right now for some Osso’s Pizza. Please open.
Service is always great. If you're getting anything other than pizza I recommend ordering ahead. If you are just getting pizza just walk in and order; they always wait until you're there to get it so it's always fresh.
I came from Virginia passing through Pennsylvania, to see if it was true , that they have the best subs and pizza .
I am amazed best pizza and subs
