The fried soft shell crab is the best I’ve had on the menu. And their coleslaw is on point!
Shrimp burger was outstanding and crab bites were amazing! This is our favorite go to spot when passing through Washington! love this place!!!
Some of the best seafood I have had in some time.had the scallops, shrimp and oysters. Perfectly cooked, attentive service good tea.
The best seafood I have had ever.. the crabcakes were AMAZING!!! Everything was cooked perfectly and homemade cocktail and tarter sauce awesome. Staff was very friendly and working hard. And this was at 8pm when they close at 9pm. We will be back when we are in town.
They always get a five star from me! Great service and great customer service as well! My crabs on 7/22/17 were delicious!! This is the seafood market where I place my order of steam crabs and pick them up!!

Had lunch yesterday with my husband to celebrate my birthday. The food was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Stopped in for a seafood dinner based on the recommendation from several locals. Fortunately, I've learned many years ago that I shouldn't judge a restaurants food from the exterior.
Definitely an older rustic building but their food was delicious. The first night in town I had a fried flounder / oyster combo with two sides for only $20. They actually fry your meal according to your preference here!
It was so good that I stopped by for dinner the next evening for their Wednesday $1 oyster special.
Keep up the good work guys. You're definitely on my radar for a return visit.
Washington Crab Shack is a wonderful place! Very tasty very fun… and the service was super friendly and welcoming.
I had the clam chowder… Which is chock full of clams and bacon all in the clear broth (e.g., not creamy), that is unbelievably clam-iferous! A super Duper winner!
I also had the fried clams Burger, which is more like a poor boy sandwich, stuffed full of fried oysters. Brulé sauce, big slice of onion, lettuce, and tomato. Super delicious.
BTW, you need to ask how you want things fried here soft, medium or hard… I chose to have my oysters fried medium so that the oysters themselves were more tender unless tougher crispy. French fries also require you to choose your level of frying

Walked in with no waiting. Placed order and had our meal within 10 minutes, hot and so good. See Cora she will take good care of you.
We walked in the restaurant, apparently didn't follow the path & someone came out of the kitchen to scold us. At the next turn the gentleman at the desk took our order politely & thorough. We were hungry so we went with the flow. It was worth staying. The scallop wrapped in bacon was fabulous. The fried platters were delicious. Oysters, shrimp, pups. The she crab was a bit salty for me & my friend who doesn't like seafood had a grilled cheese as the other option chicken wasn't available. I was pleasantly full when we left.
My new favorite place, "atmosphere" to me means the rougher the place, the better the atmosphere. Everything was great but the Scallops were definitely the best...and done perfectly when asked for 'medium' (many places over cook them).
Like every local seafood place from my eastern NC childhood.....casual and nostalgic. Don't let the outside or location put you off. These were the best crispy oysters I've had in ages. Well done just the way I like. The shrimp and flounder were also good but next time I'll order them medium. Really next time I probably will get a large oyster plate. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Service was quick.
First time visiting this delicious place! Two different locals recommended this place so I knew I had to go! Absolutely amazing! The atmosphere energetic! Must get the Hot Blue Crab dip with chips 🤌🏼
The staff were friendly and helpful, they answered our questions and gave good recommendations. The food was good and the shrimp portions were great. Overall this was a nice place to eat with an interesting atmosphere. The price is high, but the food was really good.

The WASHINGTON CRAB SHACK is a MUST! Food is always hot and they always use the freshest Seafood!!! We eat here about once a week and have NEVER had anything but excellent service and AMAZING food. Take advantage of their super low priced daily specials and 1.00 oyster day- no limit on FRESH 1.00 Oysters! Kids meals are plentiful and will fill your kids bellies no problem! Unlimited soda and tea and super cold beer! The oyster and clam baskets are huge and they even have fried salmon! Food is made when you order and the kitchen is fast and they always make sure to meet your needs offering different levels of frying and the AHI-Tuna and also the CRAB CAKE BURGERS ARE 12 out of 10. You can get anything grilled if you’re not wanting it fried! Once you’re done eating here head over to their store front and pick ya up some of the freshest fish, oysters, crabs and lobster Eastern North Carolina offers… Some would say maybe in the U.S. We love the store front and get whole flounders and locally sourced shrimp, oysters etc!!!The bags of oysters have a harvested date and we have always gotten oysters harvested in 72 hours or less! Perfect on the half shell or our favorite on the bbq grill!!WE the Davis family would like to thank the owners for keeping a super clean restaurant, super amazing staff and always having super fresh and locally sourced seafood as well as it being very affordable. Seriously we eat here once a week! Btw get the Crabs here… HUGE, Succulent and piping hot!!! Can’t wait to try the FarmVille location soon! Also VETERAN OWNED AND OPERATED!!!
