I came for the jerk chicken and it was excellent - smoky, spicy and sweet. But the “Large” order had very little chicken, and none of the staff - including cooks - was wearing a mask. Which would be less of a problem if you could order and wait outside. More chicken + more safety and this would be a 5 star review.

Excellent Food! Everybody was friendly from the bartenders (Rita) & (Kenya) to the cook (Curtis). UPDATE: Dropped rating to 3 Stars from 5. Some changes to the menu...smaller portions, but same prices (which are a little high if you come after Happy Hour for that neighborhood) Still got great service from the cook and bartenders, however one of the owners (female) soured my experience. Instead of helping the bartenders, since no busboy on a busy night, she complained when one left the bar to get something I had ordered...Why are you there if you aren't going contribute to a great customer experience.

My wife and I came in on a Wednesday and were treated to a great meal. She got the salmon, and the sauce on that is to die for. I’d put that dish in any restaurant. I got the short ribs and they’re legit. Lathered up with that good sauce, with a side of Mac and cheese that’s also awesome. There’s another side dish, but it took a back seat to everything else. Definitely will come here for a few drinks and the menu, so much comfort food options. Come to Costello’s!

Very poor service and I didn’t even get to eat the food. I ordered via Grubhub and went to pick up the food. The lady there was very VERY rude and told me that “grubhub not working” she didn’t offer to do another order and cancel my order. I offered to do it and she just gave attitude until another lady came in. I was shocked and annoyed. I was the only one ordering food at the time so idk why she would be so short with me. With that kind of service they will not see me ever again. If I could give zero stars I would.

Chef Gee Popup is the reason of my visit. I heard the food was delish and wanted to support. The pop up is Inside of Castello Restaurant which doesnt look like fine dining. The owner controls the bar apparently because you had to pay cash separately from your food bill. They add 4.00 gratuity to the drink prices that runs 12.00 for a 4oz drink. Yes that's 16.00 total for a drink. This establishment under Chef Gee serves good southern cuisine which is only open on weekends only. She's just getting started but need to train her staff that handles the receipts about being customer friendly, understanding being professionalism under pressure with manners and respect. They need to have a better system in place so the flow of business and be better. Oh btw it's also a charge for reservations as well. I ate what they call was The Thrill which consisted of crab cake stuffed with shrimp, green beans and lamb chops with yellow rice. The 3 stars was for the only non family member waitress and food only.

I love sit down neighborhood restaurants with outside tables/ sun umbrellas; and resort sofa seating. Inside there is a stage, a lounge area, a long bar and booths; and window watcher tables with bar stools. The menu is American cosmopolitan Carribean and very good.Vegan and meat lovers will be happy. Sometimes: traffic, travel, parking, walking, inclement weather,rush hour and the hassle of "getting there." Very handicap accessible and an adventure to watch the local community activity! Nice place for parties, friends, special events or to listen to the entertainment of the evening. There is open Mike Night, jazz, and guest stars dropping in. No ticket required, just pay the tab!

Honestly we paid about $50 for cold calamari. The food in general was really gross. We never got a menu for drinks or food the waitress told us it was because some things weren’t being made on that day. Which to us made no sense considering it was 7pm on a Tuesday. The environment was ok but it could have been better.

I just ordered ordered the fried chicken on UberEats and I have to leave a review. I’m Jamaican and this fried chicken tasted like home. It’s hard to find good friend chicken at Jamaican restaurants in the US but this absolutely made me feel like I got it from the cook shop up the road back home. But I have to rave about their patties. Omg!!! I’m glad I waited until it came out the oven. This pattie tasted like it came straight from Juici Beef or Tastee Patty back home. If you know Jamaican patties from Jamaica you know they’re flaky. I could never find 1 like that in the US. Castello patties FLAKE!!! Crust droppings everywhere. Meat perfectly seasoned and minced. This is it. I don’t need to try any other places. This is the real deal for authentic Jamaican food.
