My wife and daughter have Celiac and they need to be GF. These folks did an amazing job to make them feel welcome and cooked amazing food. They ensured the safety and took to time to talk with my wife. Highly recommend this to anyone
I loved having an authentic lunch here. The server and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable in helping me get an authentic meal.
I had the pinto and flatbread. I had some honey and powdered sugar on the flatbread, it was like a dessert, cook perfectly. Also had an authentic drink, cannot think of the name, but was like lemonade, not tart at all. The pricing was reasonable for a museum cafe, $10.00 for lunch, drink, and dessert. Thank you everyone for a great experience here.
This family business is so awesome. They are so respectful and trust worthy. I always have an awesome experience when I order from Sandella's. They go over and beyond for there customers. The food is always fresh and made to perfection. I love everything about them and the experience to everyone. Thanks Sandella's for all your hard work.. and love .... God bless.. continue your greatness
I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at Sandella, from the Crispy Lettuce and warm rice and cheese in the Cilantro Lime and Beans and Rice Bowl to the Strawberry Smoothy. Service was also excellent and served with a smile. I actually left my phone there when I picked up my food, and one staff member waited until 7pm (an hour after closing) for me to pick it up. I was so preoccupied with my food however, that I missed her--she then came BACK 10min later after leaving to return it to me. I can't thank you enough. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!
We found Sandellas on a Saturday looking for a close place to the Bible Museum. They are a bit tucked away in the plaza but definitely worth the effort to bypass the food court. We had Paninis , they were delicious. The cheese was hot and stringy and the bread wasn't too thick like alot of panini places do. We speculated that the quesadillas and wraps are probably really good too and will try those next time we are there. The seating and tables were a bit odd, mismatched sizes, I would suggest they rearrange the setup so guests can eat there not go back to the food court.
Soooo Delicious!!!! ** * THEY ARE DOWNSTAIRS IN THE FOOD COURT*** Visited Saturday 7/2 and ordered a veggie burrito with no cheese/sour cream and Cheese quesadilla. Both were excellent. The mom and daughter team are so adorable. Definitely worth the walk from the Smithsonian castle
We found this place just by accident, making some time between our visit to the Spy Museum and another excursion. It's a small place located in the middle of the gallery, between the food court and the subway exit. Nice flatbreads and also nice attention.
Delicious food and great hospitality is not even enough to describe our wonderful experience at the Sandella’s in DC. Their salmon flatbread and fish panini are so tasty. If you are looking for healthy, high quality, great portion sized meals, served by a friendly and professional team, definitely visit them. 5 stars for sure.
Almost everything on their menu can be made gluten free (they have a very good quality gluten-free flatbread). I was surprised they were able to make a pita sandwich with the GF flatbread because usually GF stuff just kind of breaks apart when you try to wrap/fold it. It was outstanding.
The food is excellent. A little pricey for flat read pizza. But, everything is pricey now!
