Enjoyed a fantastic meal here with delicious wine. Every dish we ordered was outstanding. Flavorful, interesting textures, good portion. The dessert was the only thing that did not impress us (the salted duck yolk ice cream). One picture missing is the truffle dumplings. The place was pretty packed
Lovely little place with open kitchen, which brings a real intimacy to the experience. Tried the crispy pigs’ ears and tofu and truffle dumplings. Both excellent. Daikon fritters also sublime. The drunken noodles were good but too heavy on salt. The ice cream dessert was amazing. Solid cocktails, gr
We really enjoyed our experience and food at Queens English. Good service, wonderful food, unique array of beverages! Their menu has gluten free options clearly labeled and there were good options, though no noodles. But, their rice made up for it, very aromatic and delicious.
The restaurant is wel
From start to finish — top to bottom my overall experience here was excellent! Easily one of my favorite meals/resturant experiences in DC.
Quaint space with an excellent wine and cocktail selection, serving familiar foods and flavors with an innovative approach. Service was 10/10 , food was creat
Queens English was a delight! The service was fantastic (thank you Sachi), and the food was absolutely unique. The highlight of my experience was the hamachi, and the foie gras shu mai. I inquired about the additional service charge which the staff explained was used to support their benefits and he
Visited with my wife and adult children and had a great time. Diverse selection of food. We tried multiple items on the menu that were served family style and liked them all. The atmosphere is wonderful. The server also recommended a wine made in Texas which we tried and liked so much we got a
Food was amazing, and the service was absolutely excellent. Everyone there is on top of their game — the wait staff very warm, welcoming, great recommendations, came around just the right amount. Appreciated the small touches like people coming in with new plates for every dish. Just fantastic. Wort
I’m in love with this place. One of the best discoveries Thai year! Super elevated and delicious food. The oysters dish is to die for, the squab looks funky but honestly, one of the best meats I had - so soft and tender. Shumai dumplings - also a must. The owners are very nice, we were celebrating m
Long overdue review. We absolutely love this neighborhood gem, one of our favorite spots in DC! The food is always amazing, especially love the crispy pig ears for a quick snack but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Their wines and drinks are unique, fun, and (most importantly) ta
One of the best meals I’ve had in DC. The food and drinks are spectacular and the vibes are super cute. Everything I ordered was truly a 10/10, except for the chili noodles which were not my favorite.
Definitely recommend!
Probably my favorite restaurant in DC at the moment. I've been three times and did a wine tasting menu the last time. It is a small menu, but I'd rather a restaurant nail the menu over offering 50 items that are all bang average. Everything on the menu is amazing.
Order the fried pork strips/ears
Had a wonderful dinner with close friends last night. We try a lot of new places in DC and we were split between this being the best or second best restaurant we've enjoyed as a group. The food is delicious, unique and imaginative. Also, staff were very friendly and helped walk us through the menu a
Great atmosphere. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive and enthusiastic. I love the tables in the front window. The fish was perfect. Tried many other new and interesting and delicious things. We will return.
Good food. I prefer more flavorful Chinese dishes in general. But I liked it and would happily go back if someone invited me. If I lived about six blocks closer at the top of the hill, I’d go here more often. I’d like to try the door grass chicken shumai!
We had the Mala shrimp — I liked the aioli
Great food, excellent service. Everything was great tasting, and had great complex flavors that worked great together. One of the best restaurants I've been to in DC. Just a note that everything is family style, which let's you get a good taste of everything if you have a properly adventurous group.
We tried out the place yesterday and was super impressed by the food here. Very tasty and full of flavors. We had crispy pig ears, shallot oysters, roasted cauliflowers, octopus pancakes, truffle dumplings, and crispy deboned red snapper. Server was wonderful, friendly and attentive. Price is slight
I have dined at Queen’s English around five times and each visit has been exceptional. From the friendly and knowledgeable front of house staff, to the skilled and hardworking kitchen team, to the dedicated and communicative management—it seems as if the whole Queen’s English family has made it thei
