Commons Restaurant - Washington DC - Photo album

Its museum food folks. It costs more than it is worth and you could have easily have brought your own snacks if you wanted. Not bad just museum food. Take that as you will. At least there is a lot of tables. More than they will ever need. Update - They even warm up some of the food if need be.
This building architecture is amazing! It's incredible to know that this building is about 170 yrs old!
I find it a adequate place where just to want to sit and grab a coffee and sweet snack in-between museum visits. The line was indeed long. Maybe the manager should change the system so that one person charges and the other prepares your coffee, which is actually what takes longer.
Cold and starving! This cafe was a life saver, ham and swiss cheese was very good, muffin and cupcake very good also!! Water and diet coke .. Thank you guys for always having our backs in the museums!! And profits help the museums so it's worth the extra $$
Located inside the Smithsonian Castle. A very pleasant and welcome surprise! Touring the museums made easier because it's open at 8:30am, perfect for DC visitors wanting an early headstart. Hot and cold sandwiches. I had the Sausage, egg and cheese sandwich and it was served hot and fresh after
Cafe is store where you can take a break from the National Mall and enjoy refreshments. Purchase a coffee and sandwich and find a table to eat at in the huge foyer.
The male and the two ladies at cafe cash were awesome !!! Little pricey for us but we enjoyed the service - from Canadians
Good food. Fair price for the area.
