Great place to eat after a night out on U street. I always have "The Capitol" which is your normal cheesesteak with ham in it, but I've seen a lot of people go for the "George Washington" (rib-eye + provolone) or "The Monument" (a cheesesteak with fries on top of it!!).
I randomly came across this place today & it was a little shabby lookin but thats how you know its good eatin was so good i had to take the other half of the sandwich to enjoy at home as a DC native definitely a place ill be visiting often
Great for VERY late night greasy food fix. Quality cheesesteak ingredients cooked the right way. Lots of options for customizing.
I love JJ's. If you want a big Philly style cheesesteak by guys who really care about delivering excellent service, go to JJ's. Also open late

Great cheesteak...the ambience isn't very fancy and feels slightly unclean but they cook the food in front of you so nothing to complain about sanitary food concerns
