This is a hidden gem in DC. The place is small, but they do have an upstairs i have never been too. The people are friendly and it feels like your local bar with that friendly atmosphere. Shout out to the bartenders who make good drinks and are very informative about the drinks and menu options. We have added this place in rotation to out hang outs.

This place is black owned and with that being said a rare jewel in DC! It has great drinks and the food is a drinkers paradise. This place is vertically integrated (owns the building) and one of the only spots without gentrification in DC. The bartender lover is the greatest bartender they have here. Every Wednesday they have a cigar pairing... I'll be back!!! This is my new sport. By the way, the mixed selection of music from jazz to R&B is superb!!! Love the energy in here. Even Mr. Tony who is a regular who sells cigars. JUST COME HERE!!!

Went in for the jerk wings, ended up with a free drink some very good hospitality opted for the oxtail! Best move ever, couldn't wait to get home to get at this grub! Got takeout! Tell the chef to line his takeout orders of the oxtail, with aluminum foil as to preserve the food and container! Great job, Langston Bar and Grill!

My friend and I had the oxtails, ribs, mac and cheese and green beans. Everything was very presentable, aromatic and flavorful. Veggies were cooked perfectly with vibrant colors. With both dishes the meat was exceptionally tender and very juicy. The area itself was pretty small and narrow however the atmosphere is welcoming, relaxing and casual. We both had the pleasure of meeting the owner and bartender who were very pleasant and attentive. I give this place 4 out of 5 stars because unfortunately there is some work that needs to be done as far as repairs and renovations due to a previous fire I've been told. Overall I would surely come back and dine again.

Went here on Saturday. The food and staff was excellent. Usif our waiter was great and very tentative. We ordered the Fried chicken wings, oxtails and salmon and grits. Best salmon cakes and grits I ever tasted. We were just in awe on how great all the food was that we asked to meet the chef to tell her personally and thank her for such a wonderful meal. We will definitely be coming back here. Truly a hidden gem!!

I Have Read The Various Comments Of People Having Bad Food Experiences But It Was Much Different For Me. My Uncle & I Decided To Try This Place & It Was Worth It. You Walk In & At First It Seems Quite Narrow But There's An Upstairs & Outside Place To Eat. The Waiter Was Very Friendly & Interactive. The Food Was Outstanding! Catfish Nuggets & Fried Okra I'd Recommend, Very Fresh. Also I'm not Much Of A Drinker But Requested A Sweet Wine & The Waiter Knocked It Out The Park. Only Complaint Is There Was Someone Smoking Marijuana But Other Than that I Has A Good Time.
