Wine & Butter Cafe & Market

I moved to the area in March 2023. When I discovered this place, I was thrilled. It reminds me of being back in Brooklyn, NY. It is such a cute neighborhood shop with great coffee, gourmet sandwiches, baked goods, other provisions, etc...I am in love with their tuna salad!! I love how they know me when I walk in...great customer service!

Coffee and a croissant while people watching across from Lincoln Park? Sign me up! The seating out front feels just like a French cafe. Wine and Butter is perfect for a morning coffee gab sesh with friends. Or grab one of the baguette sandwiches (The Hermoine is my fav) for a nice lunch in the park. Or if you’re making a charcuterie board and need something special, they have you covered. I live in Cap Hill so this is a go-to for me, but worth the trip for anyone in the city.

Wine & Butter is the best neighborhood cafe ever! Their coffee is great, the food is wonderful too. They have a great selection of wine and snacks to go as well. They are also super dog friendly and always have treats and water for the dogs. The ambiance is amazing as well -- a little sidewalk cafe feels like you're in Europe. I go here many days a week - highly recommend :)

I love everything about Wine and Butter! The staff is always welcoming and they know my coffee order. It is a pleasure to take me morning break and be served by the friendly team - thank you! (Also - great wine selection and I love the yogurt parfaits (and the yummy croissants and desserts…all the things!)

Very charming corner shop in my neighborhood. The sandwiches and pastries are great. I also highly recommend buying a bottle of wine, a baguette, and some of the salmon dip and taking them across the street to picnic in the park— I can’t think of a better low cost date. The coffee is always quite good here, and they have a good selection of fancy and delicious drinks, snacks, ice cream, cheese, and other European food. The staff are very friendly and accommodating as well. I love this place. It’s one of my favorite things about living in the capitol hill neighborhood.

A great location and wide variety of coffee and pastries available! The outdoor seating is cute and faces the park outside which is great for dog and people watching. They do have free Wi-Fi but only outdoor seating available. There are a couple outlets by certain tables, but it would be best to come fully charged before sitting down. For drinks I got their iced gingerbread latte and a Nutella croissant. The croissant wasn't bad, but nothing amazing. The latte was good and a nice size too. My friend got their plain butter croissant and it was so delicious that I had to order one for myself! It has a hint of herbs in the dough that make it delicious. We grabbed a table outside to get some work done. It's a little difficult to put two laptops on the table together, but we made it work. I think this is a better place to meet up with friends or to use their market inside to purchase basic grocery staples or wine/alcohol.
