ABSOLUTELY AMAZING experience, food was great, service is impeccable. Overall great vibes and ambience. Beautiful decorations with paintings from Ethiopia. Had the yebeg kikil with njera, the broth was to die for and the lamb was well seasoned and tender. Would return!!!
This is quite possibly the best food I've ever had. The atmosphere is nice and the guy has a very grandfatherly and friendly vibe. I love this place!!! The spices and and everything were amazing and the location is super convenient.

What a wonderful experience. We made a reservation about an hour before and the tables were ready and reserved for us when we got there. We were in the area and went there attracted by the 5 star review. The food is DELICIOUS and not expensive (I had the vegetarian sampler). It is all made fresh so don't go there if you are in a rush. The waiter is super friendly and gives really good recommendations. I will go back again for sure. I
I've been to over a dozen Ethiopian restaurants in the DC area and Shebelle is without a doubt the best one. The food is flavorful and cooked to perfection. The staff are lovely. The ambiance/decor is great. I have nothing but wonderful memories from this restaurant.
