We were visiting from Maine and wanted to check out Georgetown. We'd never been and decided to just stroll around and see where the universe took us. We stumbled across La Jolie Bleue and had to check it out since we love Mediterranean food. We were greeted by a young and extremely friendly gentleman, Sammy. He was super welcoming and helpful. He explained what everything was and what each of the ingredients were. He also talked about how his family makes everything from scratch daily. We couldn't resist buying a few different items. He even offered to heat some of our items so we could enjoy them right away. Needless to say everything was amazing! More so, Sammy made us feel like family ☺️ We can't wait until our next trip so we can return. This is now one of our new favorite spots!
Everything is baked fresh daily and the croissant 🥐 is the best I had in my life!!
Visited DC from Philly with my friend about 4 months ago and I'm glad I visited this amazing place, it's family owned and they make everything fresh daily! Don't miss out and try merguez Sandwich and take with you some traditional Algerian sweets with you, even the drinks are made fresh, and the place is also halal!

This family-owned café is very nice! The pastries melt in your mouth and the drinks are so refreshing! I especially recommend the mille-feuille pastry, chicken soufflé, and fruit refresher drink. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming and the food all tastes very fresh and homemade! I’d 10/10 recommend coming here, very enjoyable :)
Delightful, cheerful, delicious! Loved the cappuccino and Kalb Al Louz- small square bar of semolina, honey, orange blossom water & ground almonds, with whole almond on top. Cosy tables and big sofa upstairs. Many savory options for meals, too.
This is my new favorite place in Georgetown! The food/drinks is amazing, the staff are incredibly friendly and generous, and they will give you samples when they have them! But really, I love the food here (also try the green drink!). We will 100% be back!
Took a croissant home for breakfast the next morning, soft and flaky! Husband likes the French sable cookie I got him too. The lady working there was very friendly and explained what everything was - a wonderful spread of desserts and baked goods. Strongly recommended and help them out for the pandemic please!
The lady there was so nice and described all the food & answered my questions with such delight. I got the kofta souffle which was delicious and the crust was so flaky that it made the dish even better. Will definitely be back.
This is my favorite coffee shop in Georgetown. Everything is super fresh and delicious. The best latter and espresso ☕️ Customer care is superb! You feel home! Thank you 🥰
