A very pleasantt place. My wife, our dog, and I had a very pleasant and satisfactory meal on a lovely fall day. We ordered Balila and Harira soups, Orzo salad, Tabbouleh, and Grape Leaves, Everything was first rate as was he service. I highly recommend this establishment.
Yummm!. There are not many restaurants in DC where you get a chance to interact with the head chef. Figs is one of those rare places. Head chef Reem Azoury is at front and center stage, chatting with the clients she has gotten to know so well over the years, and always introducing herself to the new faces.
If you chat with Reem, you will find out that she has lived and travelled all over the world, which is the inspiration behind her worldly menu. Figs has some of the finest dishes in all of DC, with delicious palates that combine unique flavors of Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Try the Labne Spread with za'atar, cucumber, arugula, tomato and olive oil, or the B'stilla, a Moroccan sweet and savory pastry with shredded chicken and toasted almonds. The menu is posted online if you want to explore: http://www.figsfinefoodsdc.com/aboutus.html.
There's a reason people keep coming back to Figs. It's delicious!!
DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!. I love FIGS FINE FOODS in dc. i went there one time once my freinds introduced me and i have continued going back it is one of the best places in dc and i highy reccomend it to all who want to try somthing new,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Best Middle Eastern In DC!!!. Figs has the best middle eastern cuisine in DC with plenty of vegetarian selection. The bastilla (chick pea soup) not to be missed. And the stewed veggies - chard, okra all with syrian/morroccan spices!
So good!. I love Figs! Two summers ago I lived in Georgetown for an internship and this restaurant was introduced to me by my landlady. conveniently enough, it was also on my bus route though past my house, not before... :( Anyway, they created the most delicious open faced sandwich. On the bread (which i'm not sure if htye make or not) there is brie, apples or pears, and fig jam. In the jam, there is definitely honey and it takes amazing. I went for lunch one day, but felt like i was eating desert. I highly recommend to all that you try it.
Also an excellent place to bring a book and study for a while. Very quiet comfortable atmosphere, though the colors are bright engaging and fun. LOVE it. miss it desperately.
We found Figs by chance. It’s easy to overlook, tucked away on the sunken level of a small strip of storefronts in the Palisades. But, for reasons that will become obvious as you read this series of posts, we have come to see this section of MacArthur Bou
Update: Service seems to be back in good shape. Food is still well worth it.
I used to be a big fan - tonight when I went for dinner, I had an awful experience. They filled two large to-go orders for customers who ordered *after* me, and when they did bring food to my table they got one item right. Out of five items, they got one right. This is unacceptable service.
This restaurant is amazing! Must try the chicken curry and baba ganoush with pomegranate. Everything was fresh and really good quality. Service was great as well. Best Mediterranean restaurant in the area by far.
Fresh and authentic - we love the taste of the Mediterranean on the Potomac
