Benitos Honduran Restaurant - Washington DC - Photo album

This was such a great place! Food was delicious! We ordered “sopa de res” and “pescado frito con tajadas”. Oh, the chips and salsa were so good and fresh!
I’ve been wanting to come here for a while because I am from Honduras and there aren’t many Honduran food spots in DC. It’s a small space but we were lucky enough to get a table for 4. The waitresses were very sweet. It did take a while, once we were done, for them to come check on us to provide the
Such a hidden space you wouldn’t notice it. The space is small in seating but worth the visit. Ordered a chicken milanesa torta and baleadas which are tortillas filled with refried beans, crema, eggs, avocado, and you can also add meats if you want. Definitely check it out was our first time there.
Pictures simply cannot do it justice. The enchiladas especially had the perfect balance of crunch and freshness. Simple and cohesive flavors blended with just the right balance
AMAZING! The meals are delicious. Plantain perfectly cooked which is VERY rare. Pollo en crema was delicious but I wished I has more rice. The sauces are so good as well. Hibiscus drink had the perfect amount of sugar to where it wasn't too bitter or too sweet. One of my favorite spots now. Excellen
Great find during my trip to DC! The service was friendly, my food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and it was delicious! I took it go and it was still warm when I ate it, crunchy, very flavorful. The only thing I want to caution people about is the horchata. I love horchata, but this one
This place really surprised me. Looking through the front window it seemed very small inside. So glad I gave it a chance though. The people inside were super pleasant and welcoming. It's been a long time since I had fried plantains. Delicious. I'll wait for the food was a little longer than ex
Love to eat in here but it's a small space so plan accordingly! Always a fan of the food and service. Laid back and home cooked vibes. Affordable too so def recommend giving them a try!
I liked my experience at Benito's. We sat a small table and service was prompt. The menu includes other central American plates besides Honduran food. I had the mole with chicken. It came with a chicken thigh and leg with a side of rice, beans, and tortillas.
Spectacular baleadas! Every component of their food is excellent, from the tortillas to the beans to the cheese and meat to the ensalada. The sauces are fantastic as well. They're not joking around with the orange hot salsa, it's really hot!
