The Star And Shamrock - Washington DC - Photo album

We've been here a few times for Group Happy Hours and would love to keep coming back. We always enjoy the atmosphere, the drink combos, the TV screens and that Jukebox. Also shout out to the amazing servers that had seal with us on Sunday. On on.
Nice enough place. Fine for a quick drink maybe a quick bite to eat. I wouldn't really bring someone here for a special occasion or date. They were showing the eagles game, first of the season so it was a little busier in there compared to most bars in the area but it still wasn't very busy. Was abl
What a great place to talk to all walks of life. Honestly no attitudes here and no yelling over politics. Which is great being near the Capital. Attitudes checked at the door on their own. Plus great drinks and music. I've lived here for over 12years and this is the best especially when Ashley is
We came here when it first opened, and have loved it ever since. Love the Jewish/Irish mix, food is great! Bartenders/staff are friendly and not stuck up. Thanks for being cool. We love you, don't ever change.
I didn't get any food or alcohol just juice. I was here hanging with my friends. The music was good. It's a cool little bar. The staff is friendly and pretty laid back. Sarah is awesome.
The poutine is to die for, and the beers are priced very well. Ended up in here on a long night out and was treated like family. Dark pub with football on is always a go-to in my mind. Don't be afraid to try the PB&J whiskey, it's pretty nice!
Anything called both a Tavern and a Deli has me intrigued, so I ventured out to Star and Shamrock for St. Patrick's day and was not disappointed. The atmosphere is casual, you can actually hold a conversation, and the food is excellent. Definitely recommend the Reuben Egg Rolls.
The food here was good, and reasonably priced. There isn't a huge beer selection, but they had some good ones. The service was excellent, and we had a fun time on trivia night.
It's a Tavern. With good drinks, good service and good food. I loved my tuna melt on a sesame seed bagel. Goes without saying the Guinness was perfect.
I always do like the neighborhood feel of this place. Sadly menu had changed I learned tonight to the bagel kitchen that rents the space and home are the interesting Irish and Jewish fusion foods I liked. Still good though!
Enjoyed the brisket poutine - great blend of Brooklyn and Canada! A Harp and Angel's Envy - no Jameson in house. Ashley is a delightful bartender.
A fantastic Jewish bakery in the morning and Irish pub in the evening. Look for the great bagel sandwiches in the morning. In the evening, try one of the several varieties of infused Jameson's Whiskey or one of the several rotating draft beers.
Love the atmosphere in here. The staff is always really attentive and the small plates that I've had aren't greasy and cooked really well. Great choice to add to a night on H Street.
Their menu has recently changed and all of their sandwiches are now only served on bagels. Good place to grab a pint of Guinness & watch a game.
Always order to go. The #2 Turkey with Bacon sandwich us pretty good. Also the Reubens sand is good. The only rest in NE DC I go to on a reg.
Star & Shamrock combines the best parts of a Jewish deli and Irish pub into one homey and inviting storefront. One of my favorite bars in the District.
Simple comfort food, good selection of drinks, open later than 9, kitchen closes at 11 I believe. Cute bartender. Fair prices
