American City Movie Diner - Washington DC - Photo album

I've wandered past the diner for years. I've always enjoyed the art and atmosphere surrounding the building; it seems very authentic. Today I finally stopped in and sat at the counter. The place was clean, and I was cheerfully greeted by the host, then by my waitress. She immediately took my dri
Such good food and such nice people. From the home fries and burgers to the milkshakes and breakfast everything here is pretty good. A cute aesthetic and vibe, plus not too steep prices makes this place a fun stop for my daughter and her friends on a regular basis.
Awesome place !!! Staff is friendly and very accommodating to the customers. Food is amazing. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and it was great. Husband had chick and sausage over spaghetti and it was all he could do to finish it. Would highly recommend this diner if you looking for a friendly , go
Decent prices. Good food. Great milkshakes! And I can't remember which night I went, but they drew the shades and played a movies on a projector. It was a nice surprise. I assume its a usual thing though.
I really enjoyed the A Plus customer service. My order was accurate and the food was good. I did not like the French toast but that might be a personal preference. The portions are large in size.
Elias is our favorite server but we've never had a bad server in the years we've been dining here. Their portions are very generous. Coffee is always fresh. I love it!
The food at the American City Diner is actually better than one would expect for most diner food. The chili and soup appear to be made there at the diner. The food is well prepared and delivered quickly and hot and the service is terrific.
Excellent service and food. The waiters especially Elias were fantastic. The diner has a very pleasant old fashioned look. I recommend dining here 100%!
Had a great Reuben sandwich, with plenty of moist and tasty corned beef. My wife had a turkey dinner that was fresh, real turkey, with fresh home made mashed potatoes and trimming. It was an unexpected pleasure.
Nice to go to a diner for dinner every now and again. The atmosphere is pretty cool and the prices are decent. I wouldn't recommend the meatloaf though. Nonetheless, a pretty good joint for eats.
Had a brunch here. Ordered philly cheese steak omellete. It was great! Coffee wasn't good enough, though. Our server was super nice.
Best breakfast I've had in many years living in DC. Large portions reasonably priced. Linda the server is wonderful.
One of the best burgers we have eaten and the waitress was very friendly and funny. If you're looking for a classic American diner, this is the place to go.
Good food, really nice people, decent value for where's located. Great music and 1950s aesthetic. It'd be a regular if I lived nearby.
Awesome and authentic diner from the old school. Great for a date or just a casual place to eat. Interesting crowd and nice area for a stroll.
